Al Pessar In Remanzacco

If you can feel and taste the sea more 50 km away than if you were sitting at a beach restaurant, then this place simply deserves 5 stars.

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The spaghetti vongole was simply fantastic, along with a bottle of house wine—that's what lunch should be like. The landlady knows how to make guests happy, and she's an excellent cook.

The best spaghetti vongole! A fish restaurant with a fabulous chef, and all at great prices. Thanks for the treat, I'll be back on my next Friuli tour.

A restaurant near Udine, run by Assunta, a highly skilled sourcing expert, kitchen manager, and incredibly friendly (but only to those she likes). The dishes (especially the appetizers) always arrive in enormous quantities, and if something arrives late, she'll stop by your table to curse one of the staff in Friulian dialect, translating for tourists. The place is reminiscent of old-fashioned restaurants. If you have any allergies or intolerances, it's best to inform Assunta immediately, both when booking by phone and upon arrival. I'm celiac and bring my own pasta. Ample parking is available in the back.

Great food 👍 The menu only had fish. But that wasn't a problem; they also had something for the non-fish eater. Very good white wine and prosecco. Cold fish platter for starters, mussels and a fish platter for the main course.
