Al pellegrino In Vicenza

03/01/26 While visiting the Sanctuary, given the cold, I decided to have a hot chocolate at this place, and I was surprised...large outdoor space with tables and chairs and a SUPER panoramic view of Vicenza, spacious and clean inside too. A plus is the pastry shop with excellent pastries (I haven't tried the cakes, but they look good), the coffee shop is also good, in short, I liked it.

In a place as spacious as a deep breath, always clear and tidy like a promise kept, a little poem comes to life every day. From distant lands, girls arrive bringing with them smiles that resemble sunrises, a friendliness as gentle as a good wind, and a willingness to transform every encounter into a moment of grace. Together, with humility and attention, they weave different cultures into a single harmonious melody, proving that the world can come together when hearts listen. Behind the counter, the tireless young man adds rhythm and precision, like a star that never stops shining. Thus, in this enchanting place, every gesture becomes poetry and every detail speaks of the simple beauty of human collaboration. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Vicenza or the Sanctuary of Monte Berico.

Beautiful place! Wide selection and fast, friendly, and youthful staff! Wide choice of seating. Recommended for a nice hot chocolate!

Restaurant near the Sanctuary, where I went on pilgrimage. The menu had already been chosen by the parish priest. • Appetizer with soppressa, speck, Asiago cheese, and grilled polenta. All local products. • Homemade bigoli with duck sauce: delicious. • Super tender goulash with red wine from the local hills and soft polenta. • Fabulous meringue parfait. • Upstairs (with elevator), a large courtyard for outdoor dining and self-service.

We enjoyed a couple pastries and espressos here while we were in Vicenza. It was our favorite way to start the day. Great views, large venue. Friendly staff.

Very beautiful location, right in front of the Sanctuary of Monte Berico, with a fantastic view of Vicenza. Excellent service. Food could be improved: the cod lasagna and pumpkin crepes are decidedly below average, the bigoli with duck ragù are decent, and the cod Vicenza-style is good. Prices are high and, above all, not in keeping with the restaurant's name.

I love going there every week for coffee + pastry and the gorgeous view, my favourite spot in town.

We stopped for an aperitif after a hike in Monteberico, super hungry. Top-notch artisanal pizza and a fantastic view of downtown Vicenza.
