Al Grottino In Roma

Historic venue in the Appio Latino area. I have known it for many years especially for the pizza which is really very good. Internally the place has remained as it was, with tables and chairs that are a little uncomfortable especially for those who are tall (but not very tall) with legs that struggle to stay under the table. The place works on shifts and that's something I don't like, furthermore we waited despite booking at an established time which wasn't that. As I was saying, very good pizza and starters, service to be seen again with the girl at the reception who I understand could be tired but a half smile every now and then doesn't hurt. Overall, a recommended place if you don't have problems with eating shifts but then the pizza is really good. Good prices for the quality/price ratio.

Particular dough that goes well with red-based pizzas while remaining chewier in white pizzas. So many flavors to try and all distinct.

Excellent Roman pizza and top fried foods, good selection of bottled beers, even the homemade desserts are worth trying. Courteous and quick service.

A super pizza, and not just pizzas. Many delicious dishes. Absolutely not to be missed. Booking is mandatory, otherwise you won't find a place.

Pizza evening with friends. Pizza neither Roman nor Neapolitan. Hybrid but excellent. Parking difficult but not impossible.

Informal place, really good pizza

We were here in September and the service was fantastic and the food was authentic and incredibly delicious! The restaurant was filled with all locals and had a lively atmosphere!!!! One of our favourite restaurants in Rome!

Segunda vez aquí. Gran restaurante con un montón de opciones. La comida era deliciosa y no caro El personal muy amable. Cerca de la estación de metro.

Cena fantastica. Ormai di fritti così non se ne trovano più in giro! Erano buonissimi oltre che super croccanti. La scelta delle pizze è diversa rispetto al solito perché ti permette ti spaziare dalla classica margherita a pizze più particolari e ricercate. Tutto veramente buonissimo, ve lo consiglio per una cena tra amici, in famiglia, ma anche in coppia. Sicuro non ve ne pentirete!
