Many pseudo-restaurateurs, when given 3-star reviews, get offended and respond with pique. These overpriced mediocrities should go eat fish at Al Gallo. They'd learn what it means to have excellent (and not predictable) ingredients, cooked lightly yet deliciously. They'd understand, beyond their personal tastes (I always prefer to eat on a tablecloth, which isn't available here), how to elegantly furnish a restaurant. What kind of experience should be offered when the price is well over 50 euros (as is now the case, especially in my hometown of Bologna, even in dives). They'd realize that either places like Al Gallo should be given 6 stars in their category, or their service should be downgraded to 2. I'd improve the bread. Hats off. PS, since I've been back several times, I must add that I ate one of the best ice creams of my life. This restaurant is a real surprise.

Every time I visit this delightful historic restaurant, it's always a feast for the eyes and, above all, the palate. High-quality food, prepared and served with love. The table service is also noteworthy. Last night's dinner, during ART&Food with the 3 Chefs, was unforgettable and special. All the love and experience in the field was evident. We liked the freshness of the fish and the very young and nice waiter, the mini terrace was also nice. Overall, good even if a few more side dishes besides the polenta could have been included.

We had dinner there a few days ago and it was truly a wonderful experience. The tuna and melon appetizer was amazing, and the spaghetti with scampi and bottarga was excellent. We also tried the sliced beef with roast potatoes, perhaps a little overcooked for medium rare, but still very good. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Without these elements, even the most excellent ingredients risk failing to reach their full potential in a tasting context.

21/09/2025: The best pastry shop in Azzano. Very good products and efficient service. The only real flaw is the small interior space, which can be a problem when it rains or is cold outside.
23/08/2025: The "Ai Pini" pastry shop is a taste of home. The staff is always helpful and friendly, especially Federica. The quality of the products is unquestionable. How many places can I offer you hot, freshly baked krapfen at 7 in the morning? The prices are far too fair for what they offer. A++++++

17/09/2025: A historic trattoria with a variety of fixed-price menus, the most expensive being €15. It's very popular among passing workers, which is usually a good sign of succulent dishes and generous portions, and indeed this is no exception. The staff is courteous and friendly, and for Epiphany they made porchetta, and on Friday, September 26, 2025, they'll be making cod, so there's no shortage of food events. There's ample parking, but reservations are recommended. Three of us arrived at 1:00 PM on a weekday, for the second sitting, and found the atmosphere very pleasant and not too noisy. We liked that the "main course with side dish only" option included a double steak, and that the same steak was only available on a full menu (which still includes water, wine, coffee, and a cover charge) that also included a main course. The roast beef was incredibly tender and didn't look like tissue paper. The restroom includes a disabled toilet and a squatting toilet for men and women. The entrance is level and wide, so those with mobility issues are still able to access it. There is no changing table in the restroom or children's play area because it is primarily intended for working people, rather than families. It is easy to get to, although a bit far from the city center.
11/09/2025: We went for lunch as a couple, on the recommendation of others, and we enjoyed both the food and the service very much. We will definitely return.
