Al Fungo Velenoso In Montoro superiore

We found this restaurant by chance, and we were attracted by the possibility of eating mushrooms to our heart's content. We did, in fact, find a menu dedicated to porcini mushrooms, but unfortunately.... Flavorless and fragrant.

I highly recommend this restaurant. At Ristorante Al Fungo Velenoso in Montoro, you can feel the passion for cuisine and local products. The dishes, from starters to desserts, are special, prepared with genuine, high-quality ingredients, expressing tradition in a simple and authentic way. The owner was incredibly kind and explained every dish to us, and the staff was always attentive and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic flavors and a sincere welcome!

Pleasant and refined setting, with a welcoming atmosphere and always friendly and helpful staff. The mushroom dishes are excellent: fresh, fragrant, and cooked with great care. From the tagliatelle with mushrooms to the more substantial main courses, everything was tasty and beautifully presented. Prices are fair for the quality and service offered. An excellent choice for those who love authentic cuisine and the flavors of the forest.

The restaurant is simple, the food excellent, the staff courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, through no fault of the owners, the large tables set for various occasions are too loud, and this significantly disrupts the conviviality of the other tables. I could never be a restaurateur, because I couldn't tolerate rudeness and loud noises in my restaurant. But my deepest sympathy goes out to the owners of Fungo Velenoso.

Saturday, September 27th, lunch for four. Everything was good, but I expected more forest flavor from the grilled porcini mushrooms.

Wide selection of appetizers, many vegetarian options. The trio pictured was delicious; I had a hard time finishing it because it was so filling. Friendly staff, fair prices. We'll definitely be back.

It's always a pleasure to return to Toadstool! The quality of the products is excellent. We've been here several times, and the taste and quality of the products are always excellent! The staff is always super attentive and extremely kind! I highly recommend it! Excellent value for money!

Una bellissima scoperta per chi ama i sapori autentici! Siamo stati da Al Fungo Velenoso e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il locale è accogliente e familiare, gestito con tanta passione da Mena e Cinzia, e si vede! Il menù celebra i funghi in tanti piatti fantastici. Abbiamo iniziato con il famoso Antipasto alla Teodoro: mallone, zuppa di castagne e porcini, ricotta al forno con porcini, mortadella e pistacchio, gateaux di patate e cipolla ramata di Montoro con provola, tutto preparato alla perfezione. Come primo abbiamo scelto i fusilli avellinesi con speck, porcini e noci: cremosi, saporiti e abbondanti, davvero buonissimi! Un grazie speciale anche alle cameriere Rebecca e Lara, sempre sorridenti, veloci e disponibili. Il ristorante Al fungo velenoso è un'istituzione per chi ama i funghi e la buona cucina con un ambiente informale ed attento ai dettagli. Ci sono stata varie volte ed in tutte le occasioni ho trovato sempre tutto ottimo, si sente la passione di una cucina ricercata. Il personale è sempre gentile e professionale, davvero un ristorante da non perdere
