A truly wonderful experience... a simple place run by a very kind husband and wife team where you can enjoy high-quality wines and even some without spending a fortune. They do mixed platters with different types of cheeses. The mortadella di prato and soppressata are excellent. It's a shame they don't accompany everything with a little dip or vegetables... then it would have deserved 5 stars!!! Anyway, there were two of us, so we ordered the large platter (there are 3 sizes), 3 glasses of wine and a half glass of still wine. Total: €32.00, they accept credit cards... parking spaces in the area, but you have to walk around a bit to find a spot.

Gran bella esperienza .. un locale semplice gestito da marito e moglie (gentilissimi) dove si possono apprezzare vini di alta qualità ma anche alcuni senza spendere una follia.. qua fanno taglieri misti con diversi tipi di formaggi .. ottima la mortadella di prato e la soppressata .. peccato che non accompagnano il tutto con un po’ di pinzimonio o delle verdure .. allora avrebbe meritato la 5 stella !!! Comunque eravamo in due abbiamo preso il tagliere grande (ci sono 3 dimensioni) 3 calici di vino e una mezza di naturale tot. 32,00 euro accettano carta … posti auto in zona ma bisogna girare un po’ per trovare posto.

I went with my wife to Al Fosso del Mulino and we were thrilled. The restaurant is located in the pedestrian area of ​​San Giuliano Terme, overlooking the canal, and is truly evocative, especially if you eat outside, as we did, seated on the sides of a barrique. The wine list is vast and well-curated, but the real plus is the owners: passionate, knowledgeable, never intrusive. They recommended a Tuscan rosé from the San Lorenzo di Montalcino company, which turned out to be a perfect choice. The platter of cold cuts and cheeses was also excellent, with a special mention for the Mortadella di Prato, which I tasted for the first time — a delicious discovery. All at an absolutely honest price. An authentic experience, which combines quality, atmosphere and hospitality. We will definitely be back

Siamo stati con mia moglie Al Fosso del Mulino e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti. Il locale si trova nella zona pedonale di San Giuliano Terme, affacciato sul canale, ed è davvero suggestivo, soprattutto se si mangia all'aperto, come abbiamo fatto noi, accomodati ai lati di una barrique. La carta dei vini è vastissima e ben curata, ma la vera marcia in più sono i proprietari: appassionati, competenti, mai invadenti. Ci hanno consigliato un rosato toscano dell’azienda San Lorenzo di Montalcino che si è rivelato una scelta perfetta. Ottimo anche il tagliere di affettati e formaggi, con una menzione speciale per la Mortadella di Prato, che ho assaggiato per la prima volta — una scoperta deliziosa. Il tutto a un prezzo assolutamente onesto. Un’esperienza autentica, che unisce qualità, atmosfera e accoglienza. Torneremo sicuramente

06/11/2025: We love having an aperitivo here; I always ask for a fruit-based drink of their choice, and they always make it happen. The platters feature good local produce, and they also offer chips, taralli, and other treats. We'll gladly return if we're ever in the area.
21/10/2025: Il Giradischi is a little hidden gem in Pontedera, in the province of Pisa. A truly original venue that combines the spirit of a wine bar with that of a record shop, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. The aesthetic of the venue is meticulously crafted, with a jazz background that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The shop offers a good selection of CDs at very affordable prices, while the vinyl records, though fewer in number, are slightly above average, but I still managed to find a title I'd been looking for for a while, offered at the right price. Special mention goes to the young man at the counter, who was extremely kind and helpful: after my purchase, he even gave me a fabric shopping bag with the shop's logo, a useful and reusable gift that I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop for a glass of wine or to try their platters, but the atmosphere was so inviting that I'm sure I'll be back at the first opportunity. If you're a music lover and find yourself in the Pontedera area, I highly recommend stopping by—a place where passion, taste, and atmosphere come together perfectly.
