When I can, I return to "Al Fogolar" in Verzegnis, where competence and kindness in the service are at home but above all the quality and research of the dishes offered is excellent and constant over time; although I rarely go there because I don't live in Friuli, I always find something new and captivating on the menu that stimulates my curiosity and their ability to revisit traditional recipes makes them a place worthy of a stop if only for the unparalleled quality/price ratio. If you're in those parts it's a shame don't stop!

Locale accogliente, personale gentile e professionale. Piatto di affettati di alta qualità. Di secondo, buonissimo il frico sia friabile che classico. Ottima la tagliata, buono il pollo con pancetta. Da sottolineare che non fanno pagare il coperto ed il pane. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato.

Discovering traditional flavors.
We entered with one of our dogs and were greeted by the staff very kindly.
We had two first courses, two second courses, sweet coffee and house red wine, all excellent and well presented.
As far as I'm concerned, the cjarsons were very good but the "La Tajade" meat accompanied by potatoes was superb.
Excellent value for money with service that makes you feel at home.
We will return and recommend it.

All perfect. Quality local ingredients. Cleanliness, excellent service. Many Italian restaurants should be ashamed when compared to the hearth of vergensis. Rather than new cuisines, here there is quality. I ate a grilled fish which isn't so good even in a seaside location. But they have the best dishes of Carnic cuisine. Absolutely honest prices, good!

I was in this place by chance doing a search on Google Maps, I must say that it went really well. A real surprise considering it is located in a very small village. I ate some really top baked pork chops, good and very soft. I'm happy to come back and try other dishes.

Place that never disappoints. Good traditional dishes, friendly staff, fair prices. The only sore point is that the cjarsons aren't the best. Everything else very good. An obligatory stop if you pass through Verzegnis.
