Excellent experience. The place isn't very big, so you need to book at least a few days in advance for weekends. The wait staff is professional and friendly, and the owners are welcoming and friendly. An appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, a dessert, water, and a bottle of wine cost €120, a truly excellent value. Reservations are recommended before 8:00 PM, as the wait after that can be lengthy.

I thought I'd tried everything when it comes to seafood restaurants in Cervia, since I've been coming here for work for years, both summer and winter, but no. On a rainy November evening, the few open restaurants were desolately empty. On my hotel's recommendation, I went to this restaurant and found the parking lot full of cars—a good sign! The dining room is welcoming and lit only by table lamps. The menu is short, a good sign because they focus on a few well-crafted dishes, meaning the ingredients are always fresh. The cuisine is a touch creative, with carefully crafted sweet and sour twists on classic seafood dishes. The service is friendly and professional, and the prices are average for the area's seafood restaurants, but not excessive. Ample parking is available in front of the restaurant, just outside Cervia's city center. Recommended.

Simply the Best Seafood Experience in Italy – Al Deserto I’ve eaten fish all over Italy, but nothing compares to Al Deserto. The quality of the seafood here is truly exceptional — every dish tastes unbelievably fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You can feel the passion and experience behind every plate. The service is just as impressive. The team is professional, kind, and makes you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive. They take care of every detail with genuine warmth and attention. For anyone who loves seafood, Al Deserto is an absolute must. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience that reminds you why Italian cuisine is loved all over the world. I’ll definitely come back again.

Open only 3-4 days a week, so some difficulty in booking but once you get past this obstacle the rest is downhill

I've been frequenting this restaurant for years. The owner, Roberto, will welcome you with his proverbial warmth. The wait staff is kind and attentive, making you feel at home. Finally, kudos to the kitchen staff for their traditional yet innovative dishes, with slightly daring yet perfectly executed ingredient combinations! I recommend booking in advance... Enjoy your meal!

This is my second time there and everything is as perfect as the first.

The quality is there, however, in my opinion, when you dare to try new things and to dare with the gourmand, the flavour of the fish should not be covered by the rest. I'm sorry. As far as I'm concerned, first and last time.
