Al Castello In Marineo

Excellent rustic cuisine in a place steeped in history. The restaurant, with pizzeria, was created on a site with over 6 centuries of history. Warhorses: fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms, with wild boar ragù and alla norma (considered by some to be among the best in the province of Palermo). Among the unmissable pizzas is cudduruni, possibly with wholemeal flour from ancient Sicilian grains. Finally, if available, ask for basil ice cream! In summer, book if you want to eat outdoors.

Great food, great prices, great surroundings, great people! If you're nearby come here without a doubt.

I went there for lunch on a Sunday. We had the set menu, which was excellent value. The owner and staff were quick and very kind. We'll definitely be back.

All in a historic setting located in front of a real castle, the food was impeccable and plentiful, the staff helpful and very friendly.

We arrived at this place by chance, after visiting the Ficuzza Castle. What can I say? Very kind staff, exquisite food, very special local food, a castle in fact, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

We arrived in Marineo guided by a Sicilian friend and stopped at the "Al Castello" restaurant. A unique setting where we immediately felt at home thanks to the owner's kindness, his availability, and the delicacies he prepared for us despite closing time. The cuisine is home-style, with appetizers featuring vegetables and local cheeses. The first courses—because we stopped at the first courses due to the quantity of appetizers—are unique and delicious, exuding years of Sicilian culinary history, as is the entire decor surrounding us. Be careful with the desserts...they're addictive :-). There's also a visit to the museum attached to the restaurant, which preserves and displays typical Sicilian tools and equipment.
