Excellent rustic cuisine in a place steeped in history. The restaurant, with pizzeria, was created on a site with over 6 centuries of history. Warhorses: fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms, with wild boar ragù and alla norma (considered by some to be among the best in the province of Palermo). Among the unmissable pizzas is cudduruni, possibly with wholemeal flour from ancient Sicilian grains. Finally, if available, ask for basil ice cream! In summer, book if you want to eat outdoors.

I went there for lunch on a Sunday. We had the set menu, which was excellent value. The owner and staff were quick and very kind. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived in Marineo guided by a Sicilian friend and stopped at the "Al Castello" restaurant. A unique setting where we immediately felt at home thanks to the owner's kindness, his availability, and the delicacies he prepared for us despite closing time. The cuisine is home-style, with appetizers featuring vegetables and local cheeses. The first courses—because we stopped at the first courses due to the quantity of appetizers—are unique and delicious, exuding years of Sicilian culinary history, as is the entire decor surrounding us. Be careful with the desserts...they're addictive :-). There's also a visit to the museum attached to the restaurant, which preserves and displays typical Sicilian tools and equipment.
