Al Castello In Lazise

Many years ago I was in this restaurant a few times. At the time I had no problem recommending it, but today I would advise against it. The service was rather half-hearted and people only casually asked if it was a good fit but they didn't respond. For the starters (Vitello tonnato and Tuna tartar) the meat was well-cooked instead of pink and the tartare was finely sliced ​​at the top but very large pieces at the bottom, almost "chunks". The main courses were almost flawless, but I don't know what 3 pieces of pepper, 3 wafer-thin slices of eggplant and 2 wafer-thin slices of zucchini would cost €7 to be honest. The quality has deteriorated a lot. We clearly won't be coming back again. The ambience, however, is almost unbeatable but that's the only positive thing.

A very nice restaurant in a great location. Unfortunately, the focus here is on “absolute cost-effectiveness”. Is called; The service was very stressed and only had a short time for superficial service. Our drinks came very late - only after the food was served! As soon as a table was free, it was immediately re-set. As a result, there was a lot of unrest and the service could hardly keep up. It was certainly similar in the kitchen... you could tell by the food. Unfortunately, price and performance are not in proportion in this high-priced restaurant. The food was definitely not bad, but not particularly good either. The menu sounded more promising. Conclusion: Sometimes more is less.

The atmosphere of the place is very nice, it's a great place 😁 the restaurant staff tries to accommodate all the guests, who are full all the time. You have to wait a few minutes for a table. As for the food, we ordered classic pizza - not good, not worth the price... the pizza is dry, the ingredients are fresh, but they are not wow. They serve much better food in La Plume 😁 I can recommend restaurants, but it's better to check other nearby ones
