Al Castello In Lazise

Ambiente: eigentlich recht schön in einem Kastell, aber sehr laut, sehr viele Menschen Service: unzureichend: Wassergläser werden ineinander gestellt auf den Tische gebracht, eher unfreundlich Essen: ist nach wie vor gut, aber: die Reihenfolge passt einfach nicht. Erst als mein Ehemann fertig war, bekam ich mein Essen. Es wirkte insgesamt äußerst hektisch.

The food came very quickly, and the service was attentive. The burger was good, but the pizza was unfortunately a bit bland.

Beautiful restaurant with a garden, but a few flaws. The garden, bordered by the city wall, is absolutely inviting. We spontaneously got a table in the back (unfortunately right next to the mise-en-place shelf and also next to/with a view of the cordoned-off, uncovered, and completely uninviting service area). Since it was quiet that evening, the numerous waiters had very little to do and, irritatingly for us, often stood right next to our table. Unfortunately, the rolls served were incredibly dry, and even a replacement we requested (from the server's bag of rolls) didn't produce any fresh ones. The tartare di tonno rosso was delicious (although I had actually expected a bit more refinement/spiciness). The branzino was delicious, but the grilled vegetables were unfortunately lukewarm and unseasoned. The dishes were attractive (some of them were unfortunately chipped on the edges), and the food was visually well presented. When paying, we pointed out the inconvenience, which was acknowledged, and the unused service area would be repaired tomorrow... We had expected more. What a pity.
