We chose this restaurant for a very important family event, and to say we had a great time is an understatement! From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious. I highly recommend the fettucine with porcini mushrooms (we had seconds because we loved it so much), the best I've ever had in a castle, and I was born and raised here! And what can I say about the staff, all super helpful and kind? We truly had a wonderful day! Thanks again to all the staff for their helpfulness and kindness, they truly made us feel at home! We'll definitely be back!

This place was recommended by our host. We had a gricia and a beef tagliata, and each was better than the last. Honorable mention for the kindness of the owners as well as the delicious food. We think they deserve a full 5 stars. If we return to Rocca di Papa, we know where to eat again.

I'm sorry to post only the carafe of wine as a photo, but by the time I remembered I'd written a review, we'd EATEN EVERYTHING! 🤣 A fantastic place, where you'll find true Rocchigiano hospitality, the tradition and warmth of an old-school osteria, where people have gathered for a long, long time to drink, eat, and socialize. My grandmother was from Rocca, and I myself spent long summer holidays there, as well as weekends with friends. We no longer have the house, but I still go there very often because a piece of my heart is there. Despite this, I had never visited Cantinone. Maybe because when I went up there, I ate grandma's delicacies! But not only did Cantinone not disappoint me, it made us (both me and my friend) truly happy. Handmade fettuccine alla Castellana (nice and thick), amazing grilled meats, excellent side dishes and cheeses, fine wine, homemade desserts... We didn't miss a thing. We'll definitely be back; I have another essential stop for when I go to Rocca di Papa. If you go, make a reservation, as the osteria is tiny. Highly recommended.

We had a table of 13. The place was really cute, warm, and welcoming. The meat is cooked in a special fireplace in front of the tables, and the staff is welcoming, efficient, and quite slick and honest, but always polite. The service is fast; in fact, we waited very little for our dishes. The menu offers a wide selection of pizzas, pasta dishes, and meats. The beef steak, carbonara, and pizza (our dishes) were exceptional: the best carbonara I've ever had. The fried foods were also excellent. The price is really fair, and for what you get, it's excellent. Highly recommended. If we ever return to Rocca di Papa, I think we'll gladly return.
