Al Cancelletto In Padova

I've been here for dinner two nights in a row, sampling a variety of dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant and intimate. The service is friendly and never intrusive. The traditional dishes are solid and tasty (and plentiful). The prices are fair.

Excellent fish and meat restaurant offering Venetian and Italian specialties. Superlative fish, excellent meat, bigoli abound, good vegetables and side dishes, excellent desserts. But the best thing is the welcome, the service and the satisfaction after dinner. A weekly stop for me for many years. They also have a take away service with very satisfying dishes at a fair price.

We stopped by chance for lunch on the way back from a concert. Despite the late hour, they welcomed us warmly. We had 2 horse steaks, very good and cooked to perfection. Friendly and helpful staff. Too bad it's so far away otherwise we would have definitely returned.

Place found thanks to google maps, not very visible when passing by on the road, good selection on the menu. Quick service, polite and friendly staff. The food is excellent with good value for money. Some difficulties with parking.
