Al Battistero In Monte sant'angelo

We stopped to eat for lunch without a reservation before visiting the Sacra di San Michele. The restaurant is located a few steps from it and is the perfect place to eat with taste at a fair price. The very kind waiter even prepared a boiled vegetable for our 9 month old baby upon request. I highly recommend the appetizers (both cheese and cured meats), the pasta with the house sauce and the steak. The house red wine is also very good. We couldn't ask for anything better! We will be back for sure!! ☺️

We ate pasta and a mixed grillata, everything was very delicious, and the restaurant was very quiet. We came with our 🐶 dog and he was also well received. The service was fast and very friendly

We came for the Sanctuary....we saw the reviews and stopped....I confirm the positive comments....I would say excellent, young staff, polite and quick despite so many tables to serve, I would say excellent quality/price...we opted for the à la carte menu...superlative cold cuts and cheese starters...abundant and very tender mixed grill, super good grilled caciocavallo... too bad we have to wait until next year to return...

I'll start by saying I'm from Naples on a family trip to visit the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo. Around lunch time we decide to have lunch around there. And seeing the positive reviews on Google Maps, we decide to go to the Al Battistero restaurant. What can I say, simple and good food. Delicious meat from the sliced ​​veal to the sausages, perfectly cooked. Good local cheeses and sliced ​​meats with an incredible smell and flavour, in particular the Salami and Speck. The Lasagna with sausage and mushrooms is good, highly recommended. The stuffed wafers are also good, a local dessert that is very tasty and not at all heavy. Overall simple products but all fresh and well prepared, good Chef! Friendly, professional and friendly waiter. Humble, dynamic and very kind owner in letting us eat without reservation. Very honest price, highly recommended. We will definitely see each other again.

The restaurant is right in front of the Basilica of San Michele. Welcoming and characteristic environment, vaulted roof with exposed stone. Friendly and attentive owner, good food.

Sentirsi a casa propria non è mai facile, ma sentirsi a casa propria a distanza di 250 Km. di distanza è quasi impossibile, ma è quello che il Ristotrante Al Battistero ci ha trasmesso fin dal primo contatto telefonico. Aver trasmesso a oltre 30 commensiali (e si, eravamo 32 ospiti) queste sensazioni non è da tutti. Personale professionale e sempre con il sorriso sulle labbra, sempre solerti ad ogni singola richiesta ed esigenza, sempre disponibili dalla cucina alle sale. Inutile perlare poi delle pietanze: tutte a km. 0 tutte cucinate con sapienza e dovizia da chef che non hanno stelle sulla divisa, ma hanno a cuore solo la soddisfazione dle cliente. Antipasti della casa, lasagna bianco con funghi porcini e salsiccia, cavatelli freschi con melenzane, salsiccia e cacioricotta, brace di agello tenerissimo, maiale e salsiccia locale... per non parlare del loro vino locale: un Nero Di Troia con pochissimi solfiti... Insomma dopo l'esperienza mistica e spirituale molto intensa alla Basilica Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo, non poteva esserci continuazione migliore se non Al Battistero. Passateci e dite che vi mando io :-P

Trattoria a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Michele, right next to the equally interesting and beautiful Tomba di Rotari. Simple menu, with traditional dishes, more than fair prices considering the very generous portions, as you can see from the photos. The house wine is also excellent, as are the limolivo and the sweets, all home-made. Highly recommended.

We had the opportunity to taste the typical traditional dishes of Monte with the excellent typical bread and a local wine that all the guests liked. Genuine and balanced first and second courses. The service of the two guys is impeccable and fast, plus we felt welcomed with kindness and the right advice. The price is honest and proportionate to the high quality of the raw materials of the dishes chosen. We will be back as soon as possible! Hello lads.

Frequento Monte Sant'Angelo da anni ma sempre per la visita mordi e fuggi alla Basilica del Santo Arcangelo Michele. Quest'anno ho avuto la necessità di fermarmi per il pranzo e con i miei amici abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per la sua estrema vicinanza al santuario. Il locale è molto sobrio ma accogliente così come accogliente è il giovane personale. Il menù è ovviamente incentrato sulla cucina locale che io conosco bene mentre i miei amici un po' meno. I primi sono stati ampiamente apprezzati da tutti, sia la pasta alla Battistero (pomodoro, melanzane, salsiccia e cacioricotta) sia le orecchiette, alle cime di rapa ed al sugo paesano. Al di là dell'ottima realizzazione, i piatti si sono contraddistinti per la bontà della materia prima (il mio palato ha gradito soprattutto l'olio del sugo) e per il rispetto della tradizione. I secondi non sono stati da meno, sia l'abbacchio che il caciocavallo aromatizzato (una bontà esagerata). Ottimo anche l'amaro locale a base di scorza di limone, di arancia e di olivo. Tutto questo ad un prezzo allettante. Credo che d'ora in poi diventerà tappa fissa dei miei giri a Monte Sant'Angelo.
