I chose Aji to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have made a better choice. The staff was courteous and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere right from the start. The food is excellent, with carefully prepared and tasty dishes, and the environment is well-kept, perfect for those looking for an experience that combines taste and Japanese atmosphere. A positive experience that I can't wait to repeat!

Very nice and particular place, hospitality, professionalism and passion I would say are the traits that distinguish this restaurant.

Small and very welcoming place, the staff is very kind and pampers you in everything. You have to try Bao Kakuni because you would eat a dozen of them 😅 like delicious ramen.

I was recommended by a colleague who knows the owners. Small environment, obviously Japanese themed. There aren't many seats, so booking was a challenge. There is also the option of sitting at the counter.
You can choose à la carte, even various types of sake. I opted for the 44 euro Tasting Menu. A nice experience, which allows you to range over various dishes of Japanese cuisine, expertly prepared by Giulio. You can definitely perceive the use of quality raw materials, unlike the classic "chain" shops where you usually go to eat.
Also appreciable is the expertise of Francesca and the other girls in illustrating the individual dishes.
Next to the room they have created space for a typical corner where you can view various Japanese handicraft items.
It was really worth waiting for a seat to become available.
I will definitely return and I highly recommend it both for those who love Japanese cuisine and for an alternative evening.
Thank you. 🙂

Nice place with many things that recall Japan, good service, excellent cuisine. Disappointed by the tasting menu, however, expensive, but poor in courses. The appetizers are ok, small in a single dish. I expected tastings, even small ones, of first courses, second courses and desserts
A truly refined Japanese tavern with beautiful paintings and representations of the country of the Rising Sun.
Really good and complete tasting menu with a mix of appetizers, a ramen, some prawns and a mochi. Everything was delicious, especially the gyoza in the starter and the ramen.
Very kind and prepared staff.
Inside the tavern there is also a corner with a shop where you can find various objects and beautiful Japanese knives.
I recommend booking in advance, but highly recommended!!
The only small negative note is perhaps the rumble inside the room that you hear when the place is full, but you get used to it quickly. :)

You have to be patient - it's always full - but the wait is amply rewarded. All very good

FANTASTIC!
I had dinner at this place last night to celebrate my birthday. In reality it was my husband who found it online, we already had some information and from the photos it looked wonderful, so we decided to try it.
I must say that we found ourselves at the last moment and tried to write a message to the mobile number and luckily we found a place.
The environment is beautiful and there is a powerpuff girl, a little shop with Japanese crafts which can be accessed directly from the premises. Where you can buy beautiful objects arrived directly from Japan!
As for the food I must say that I was really satisfied.
We started with an appetizer consisting of: TAKOYAKI
Octopus meatballs (6 pieces served with dried tuna flakes (katsuobushi), aonori seaweed, mayonnaise and takoyaki sauce.
Very good!!!!
CHASHU BAO
Soft steamed bun with roasted pork belly, crispy onion, tonkatsu sauce and mayonnaise.
This one I took a bite of was really good too!
Then the main dishes:
UNAGIDON
Steamed rice bowl with Unagi Kabayaki (grilled freshwater eel brushed with soy sauce), spring onion and marinated ginger.
My husband's choice, very good according to him!
I opted for the BENTO consisting of:
KOROKKE
Potato and vegetable croquette served with cabbage salad, sesame dressing and tonkatsu sauce.
EBI FRY
Breaded and fried prawns (2 pieces) served with a cabbage salad, sesame dressing, tonkatsu sauce and mayonnaise
KAKUNI
roast pork belly, ½ soft-core egg on a bed of rice
TOMAGOYAKI
Typical Japanese omelette
AMAZING AMAZING! TOO GOOD!
And finally a typical dessert:
TAIYAKI
Traditional Japanese fish-shaped dessert filled with anko (a red azuki bean jam). The dough used in Taiyaki is similar to that of pancakes.
Particular taste, for those expecting a classic dessert, but really good!
All accompanied, for me, by a 'Pink Kappa' sake with hints of red fruits.
For my husband a Japanese sweet potato beer.
Ultimately, a highly recommended place for anyone who wants to enjoy a corner of Japan.
We will definitely be back to try the ramen!
Thanks for this experience!
