My husband and I went to dinner at this trattoria and unfortunately some things disappointed us a bit! The food is certainly worth it in its originality and quality, but if I come to a trattoria and pay a bit too much—around 80 euros per person, which is not the average price for a "trattoria"—I also need to expect superior service and attention. For example, what happened to us: asking for the dessert menu several times without being satisfied; having a table in the entrance corridor with the door constantly opening to the outside, sometimes even left open without caring about the cold air that reached the poor unfortunates who were there; waiting a bit too long for a dessert...

Honorable mentions for the tartare of the day (tuna in my case), the cod, and the calamari.

Aja Mola is exactly the kind of place that reminds you why you love going out to eat.
I chose to sit at the counter facing the kitchen, and it turned out to be the best decision. Watching the team work felt almost like a performance, calm, precise, and completely in sync. There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing how much care goes into every single plate.
I had a wonderful time from start to finish. The atmosphere is intimate yet vibrant, and you feel fully immersed in the experience rather than just being a guest.
The food is where it really shines. Every dish felt thoughtful, creative, and slightly unexpected in the best way. Flavors you don’t quite anticipate, combinations that work beautifully, and presentations that make you pause for a second before diving in.
Service deserves a special mention. Attentive, warm, and genuinely engaged without ever feeling intrusive.
And the sommelier was outstanding. The wine recommendations were precise and exciting, perfectly matching the dishes and elevating the entire experience.
It’s one of those places where you leave not just full, but genuinely inspired.

This was the best restaurant I went to during my whole trip to Italy. From start to finish; every dish was so fresh, tasty, creative and cooked to perfection. The staff were lovely and the wine was perfect! Would absolutely recommend
