Aida In Bolzano

Excellent wines, equally excellent food, and very friendly service.

The food and coffee were tasty. Unfortunately, the whole experience was spoiled by a very unpleasant situation when paying the bill. When I asked to pay, the waiter brought the terminal and told me the amount (I don’t remember exactly how much). I paid by card without carefully checking the amount on the terminal – it was very sunny and the screen was hard to see. After the payment, I asked for the receipt, received it, and put it in my bag. About half an hour later, I looked at the receipt and noticed that the total was €41.90, while €46 had been charged to my card. I felt cheated and very disappointed that a restaurant that seems to be of a good standard would allow something like this to happen. This is the first time I’ve experienced a situation like this. Unfortunately, because of this, despite the good food, I will not return to this restaurant on my next visit to Bolzano.

A very good restaurant in a lovely location on Waltherplatz. The service is attentive and friendly. The ambiance could be improved, perhaps with some plants or something similar, but all in all, a good restaurant. I can't understand the many negative reviews here, because it was truly excellent.

The food was excellent. The portions were generous enough to satisfy any appetite. The location was lovely and sunny. Prices were comparable to the neighboring restaurants. It was generally quite busy, but with patience and a relaxed attitude, it was a pleasant experience.

I can't agree with the other reviews! The service was excellent, the food very good, okay, a bit pricey. But I had a front-row seat overlooking the piazza!! Even in Venice, an espresso costs €12 in St. Mark's Square, and I don't even want to know what the rent is here. So everything was great, 4 stars well deserved, we'll be back!!!

We went to Bolzano to visit the traditional Christmas markets and spent New Year's Eve in the city. For dinner, we were treated to traditional Trentino dishes. We had dinner on December 31st at this renowned restaurant. The pizza we were served was fabulous (typical Alto Adige flavors). Rating: EXCELLENT (the highest we can offer).

We came here for dinner on New Year's Eve and returned for lunch another day. Everything was really good, and the staff was very friendly. We absolutely recommend it.

Perfect coffee and perfect apple strudel with perfect vanilla cream.

Not sure why such the low rating. These were the BEST dumplingd my wife and I had in a week of eating dumplings across the dolomites. The walther pizza was perfect. The homemade tiramisu was to die for from someone who hates this dessert. We weren't sure we could get in with no res but they accommodated us graciously. Our waiter Julian was awesome, made us laugh and feel so welcome... give him a raise!!!!
