Ai Tre Gobbi In Bergamo

Osteria Tre Gobbi is one of the most famous osterias in Bergamo. I'd been hearing about it for a while, so I decided to try it. Located on one of the main streets in the city center, it has an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere. As soon as you sit at the table, you can immediately notice the staff's attention to detail; the waiter pours water and places it in its own coaster. The kitchen offers a welcome treat, which in my case was cauliflower mousse and caponata. Breadsticks and a loaf of warm bread are brought to the table. I chose veal with tuna sauce and casoncelli for my first course. The veal with tuna sauce was too delicate, and the tuna sauce mousse lacked a strong flavor. The casoncelli were good, but not the best I've ever tried, in my opinion. To finish the meal, I had a panna cotta with black cherry sauce. The panna cotta was delicious, nice and full-bodied, and the vanilla was evident; unfortunately, the black cherry sauce was too sweet and completely covered the flavor of the panna cotta. This lunch didn't convince me at all considering the price of the dishes

I haven't eaten such delicious and substantial dishes in a long time. All presented with exceptional elegance. I highly recommend it.

Exquisite food, including some traditional dishes presented in a completely different way. In Germany, this would be worth a Michelin star!

We often passed by this restaurant and decided to have dinner there. We were very surprised! Attentive, fast service, delicious, high-quality food, and good drinks. We now dine here often.

My wife and I were in Lower Bergamo on Sunday evening, and we chose this restaurant because two other choices were closed and because it was a winner of the "4 Restaurants" category. At this point, I'm wondering what the other three will be like. The quality of the food isn't bad; it would have even deserved 4 stars if it weren't for one dish, which also happened to arrive incorrectly—a terrible reinterpretation of onion soup. To be fair, and it earned us an extra star, the incorrect dish wasn't charged. The owner, when he's not in the kitchen and comes around to the tables, is affable. The two young waitresses are very attentive, and commendation goes to the more experienced one, who is kind, smiling, and moves quickly. But I gave the service a 1 because neither the kitchen nor the dining room are adequate for the number of diners. Just one example: the menu was brought to us after 15 minutes, and so on until at least half the guests had finished their dinner.

An elegant restaurant offering traditional dishes with a modern twist (which, personally, we really like). We ate outside for eight people, and it was delicious. I would suggest placing the outdoor umbrellas closer together, otherwise, especially at smaller tables, someone will always be left uncovered. As for the bill, I think the prices of some dishes are a bit high. Special mention for the service; the girls who served us were perfect, well done. Recommended restaurant.
