The atmosphere in this place is amazing. Andrea (he is the entire staff) is hysterical and an amazing chef. Small restaurant that makes you feel like you’re eating dinner in someone’s kitchen. Would highly recommend to anyone in Venice.

This was by far the best food we ate on our trip to Italy. It's a small secluded restaurant but with lots of character. The owner/chef Andrea is a truly wonderful host and really makes you feel at home. He has a great sense of humour and some great local knowledge and stories. We had a great chat as we ate and he recommended fantastic wines to go with our amazing food. If you are in Venice you simply must eat here at least once. I cannot rate this place highly enough!

I'd been here two years ago and, struck by the owner's friendliness and the convivial atmosphere, I was happy to return. It must be said: he's very friendly, the atmosphere remains pleasant, and the cuisine is excellent. The spaghetti with squid ink is extraordinary, the one with clams is good, the Venetian appetizer is well-prepared, and the craft beers in cans are delicious. It's a shame that, instead of appreciating my confidence in returning, the experience was ruined by the final bill. First, we were immediately given a handwritten receipt, so illegible we didn't even look at it; then came the tax receipt, reduced to just two items and with an enigmatic "service" of €54 per person. Total €108 for an appetizer, two first courses, and three canned beers. There's no arguing with the quality of the dishes or the owner's friendliness, but rather with the transparency, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars.

I returned after two years because the experience had been positive. I had given a 5⭐ review, which I'm changing today. My opinion of the dishes remains the same; they're truly good and satisfying. What has changed is the attitude at the end of the meal. He scribbled something on the paper that I couldn't interpret, asking me if I agreed. I thought it was one of the owner's many jokes (do I really have to comment on the bill?), so I smiled and said, "Okay." I paid without even looking at the amount and left. Only after leaving did I check the receipt, which showed the total without the details. €108 for one appetizer to share, two first courses, three cans of €5 beers, and a bottle of water. I mentally tallied the dishes. Even if I added €5 for the bottle of water and a substantial service charge, the figures still didn't add up. Fraudulent behavior is never justified, let's be clear, but why did it apply to two ladies who returned so enthusiastically? If you want to go, go ahead because the food is good, but ask for a receipt with the details (as is required in all businesses). I'm replying to the owner here because I have no other choice: The math says there's still €2 left. Experience tells me that service costs €6, not even in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The paper menu doesn't include service. The online menu doesn't have prices.

Spectacular both the food and Andrea's attention. Intimate place (only 4 couples eating at the same time) and that makes you enjoy a delicious meal without rushing. Special👌🏻

This hidden little gem was quite the surprise. The restaurant is super cute and quaint…. The food was impeccable and the service was top notch. You feel like you are in Andrea’s home for a delicious home cooked meal. It’s a one man show…. From host to cook to sommelier….. I strongly urge you to go!

As others have mentioned, a wonderful place. A one-man operation in a cozy and quiet eatery next to a canal. Impromptu wine tastings from the very personable chef. A unique experience. Go there.
