The food here was excellent Italian food. The carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese were my favourites, and the pizzas were very good too. The server we had was very nice, and was happy to speak english or Italian. The place itself was small-ish, but very nice and warm.

We ate for lunch on New Year's Eve and had a very good time with the new management. If you want to eat inside I think it's best to book. To return. It is located in the center of Venice

Vinimos a cenar. La comida estaba bien. Nada extraordinario pero nada malo. Las pizzas eran diferentes a otras que hemos probado en el sentido de que eran más gruesas y no de leña. Uno de nosotros tenía sepia que era bueno - probablemente la mejor comida del lote. El servicio estaba bien y la ubicación era buena para nosotros. Sin embargo, el proyecto de ley no detallaba los artículos (los resolvimos nosotros mismos) pero aparte de que estaba bien. No tan caro como muchos otros lugares venecianos, pero la calidad estaba bien. Ok para recomendar.

We dropped in for dinner. The food was fine. Nothing extraordinary but nothing wrong. The pizzas were different from others we've had in the sense that they were thicker and not wood fired. One of us had cuttlefish which was good - probably the better meal of the lot. Service was fine and location was good for us. However the bill didn't itemise the items (we worked them out ourselves) uit other than that it was fine. Not as expensive as many other Venitian places but quality was fine. Ok to recommend.

Paramos para almorzar en Ai Dogi sin hacer referencia a TripAdvisor. Me alegro de que no leímos las críticas ya que eso puede haber influido en nuestra decisión de comer allí. El almuerzo era muy bueno, y el servidor hizo todo lo posible para asegurarse de que nos sentimos bienvenidos en el restaurante. Estamos en Venecia periódicamente y sin duda visitaremos aquí de nuevo para el almuerzo.

08/09/2024: The service is excellent and the food is quite good if you are looking for a quick lunch/dinner. The choice is wide between bruschettas, club sandwiches, tostoni, some first and second courses etc... The ice cream isn't bad either. It's a shame that some things (not all) become exaggeratedly expensive considering that they don't make gourmet dishes... 😉 For example, the classic club sandwich which is mostly served with potatoes here are separate (+€3) but if you don't specify well they will bring you a separate portion which is small for the cost (+€5). A club sandwich with cover charge costs €18 (EIGHTEEN). Put the drink and coffee and you'd better go to the pizzeria... Overall...not bad but there is room for improvement!

Restaurant Prete Rosso

14/02/2025: This is one of our favourite hotels in Venice, due mainly to the views. But... they put their prices so high now, we were unable to stay here this time. Pity.
