My family and I ate here a few times while visiting from Australia. What a great place!! Excellent food, wonderful, friendly service. Hoping to return!!

It was delicious. The waiter's service was also good. My parents said the carbonara was a bit salty, but I liked it because it was salty. In the summer, you need to consume salt. The portion was also large, which was good.

Wow, this restaurant is amazing! If you're in Rome, you have to go! Everything we ordered was delicious! The service was also superb. I recommend it!

Small restaurant in Testaccio where you can eat authentic Roman cuisine. At a fair price you eat really well from the first courses to the homemade pasta up to the delicious desserts they have. In addition, all the waiters and in particular Max and Daniele are friendly, professional and kind. See you soon guys

A quiet side street restaurant for lunch. Waiter service was quick. Excellent pasta dishes. The spaghetti ragu was a little small for the men. The spinach & ricotta ravioli was superb. Lots of wine choices.

Prima sera romana, ristorante consigliato dalla proprietaria del B&B. Siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti. Cucina tipica romana, carciofi alla giuria e alla romana, trippa, tonnarelli cacio e pepe, gricia, tutto davvero ottimo. Ottimi anche i dolci in particolare il cheese cake, tradizionale ma ben fatto che, negli ultimi tempi sta diventando una rarità.

12/07/2025: The lavender gelato was out of this world. A lovely sweet cream with a summer undertone of lavender. Not flowery or perfumy at all. And so was the strawberry- amazing with a strong strawberry flavor and little bits of real strawberry. The only downside is it is on the pricey side. And $3.70 for two small scoops. And they do not stack it above the cup either (see picture). But they nailed the flavor.

Gelateria S.M.Maggiore

12/07/2025: Was recommended to me by a local. The gelato was so good I tried to eat here twice a day in order to try all the different flavors during our short stay in Rome. I miss the daily gelato run 🥲
11/07/2025: Excellent ice cream and a wide variety of choices, perhaps a little pricey... but we're in Rome and that's understandable...
