30/11/2025: Historic trattoria located in the center of Venice.
Friendly and welcoming staff, quiet and familiar atmosphere.
I recommend it.
Best regards, the great Nicola.
21/11/2025: It wasn't easy to find a restaurant in Venice run by locals, with local staff, without the usual seedy "bouncers" of the worst ilk, and also boasting extreme quality and refinement in both the food and the atmosphere, despite a very family-friendly setting.
Thanks to my friend Dario, who recommended it to me, I found all this at Trattoria Vittoria da Aldo, which, among other things, has the added advantage of being easily accessible on foot from Santa Lucia station, just a few dozen meters away, exiting on the left, without having to cross bridges or take a vaporetto.
Without further ado, the dishes were rich and of the highest quality, the waiter was kind and helpful, both in explaining the various dishes and even the cost of wines and grappas (which, incidentally, I hadn't asked for), the atmosphere was informal yet refined, frequented by locals and few tourists, and this is an added plus.
Without shouting, but with a smile, and with desserts prepared by the lady, they are definitely worth trying!
The price is reasonable for what's on offer and not excessive.
Vittoria da Aldo is another small Venetian landmark worth visiting, in addition to San Marco, and definitely worth adding to your tourist guide.
