Definitely a great experience. Very good food, staff efficient and polite without being sugary. Very good value for money. There were 7 of us, almost all of us had a single dish with side dish, a few beers, a bit of wine, grappa. 20 euros each.

I must admit that the name Picko makes you smile, especially for those who speak Croatian, where it sounds like a vulgar swear word. Apart from this curious detail, this informal and naturally comfortable farmhouse offers a truly out of the ordinary, almost sublime experience. Here everything comes directly from the garden and the farm, with zero kilometer products that are reflected in the authentic and genuine flavours. The kitchen, when active, is simple, natural and domača (homemade), and eating your meal under a rustic roof or better yet in the shade of a tree makes the experience even more relaxing. The wines, as well as the beer, are artisanal, and I believe self-produced or in any case coming from the surrounding area. A little tip: on the entrance facade you can clearly read that the opening is only on Saturday and Sunday, without specific times, and Google won't be of much help here. If you find the gate open, consider it a stroke of luck and take advantage of it! The best of Picko can be experienced by arriving there without plans, perhaps after a nice walk along the paths of Gropada, with your mind still wandering to the times of the Iron Curtain and the propusnices. This place is not easily comparable to traditional restaurants: it perhaps resembles the typical osmizes of the area more, but surpasses them in terms of cuisine, comfort and space. If you are looking for an authentic experience, in a relaxed environment surrounded by nature, Picko is the right place, especially for large groups, remembrances and celebrations.

I have been there on various occasions for birthdays, communions and confirmations, you have to set a limit to the dishes, because the food is good. It is also suitable for a snack, even after a walk (there are flat paths). Finally you can buy the products that are brought to the table.
