This is a place we have stayed at three other times and the reason we keep going back is simple, there is no better place to capture the sense of the unspoiled region of Molise or the beautiful village of Macchiagodena than staying and eating here. This is a true farm to table experience, the family, Luciana, Carlo, Chef Dolores and the farm assistants grow all the vegetables 🥕 and herbs, raise all the meat, make their own jams, cheese and breads and as if that wasn’t enough, one of the owners, Carlo, is a Sommelier. The food is absolutely amazing, it represents this region in a unique way, it’s rustic but elegant at the same time. We stayed for four days visiting family and the cleanliness of the rooms is outstanding, this village and the surrounding area is worth looking into, even for just a dinner La Sorgente is worth the trip.
