"La Paglierina farmhouse in Montecchio Maggiore is a little gem for those seeking an authentic experience. No Coca-Cola, just rules and authentic flavors. The food is homemade and delicious, and the location is truly welcoming. Outside, among the vineyards, you'll even find a dog playfully strolling and maybe a cat popping up here and there. We arrived at 2:00 PM and they closed the gate in front of us. I understand the need to respect closing times, but it would have been more polite to send someone to see us off.

A lovely rustic restaurant in the countryside, spacious and with adjacent parking. We dined for two. The portions of the first courses are normal, while the second courses depend on whether you choose from the menu or what they offer as an extra. Personally, I chose the mallard with orange sauce and was not at all satisfied, neither with the quantity, quality, nor price (€20 for a leg). The rest was average. The service was quite slow; perhaps a few more waiters could be useful.

Abbiamo scelto questa bellissima location per un pranzo di laurea con parenti e amici. Titolari e personale estremamente disponibili, gentili e sempre sorridenti. Menù ricco e adattabile alle diverse esigenze, prodotti freschissimi e cucina eccellente. Una nota di merito sia al bis di primi (i bigoli al sugo d anitra più buoni che abbia mai mangiato) che alla grigliata, abbondante e cotta perfettamente. Ampio giardino per qualche foto o per far divertire ragazzi e bambini in sicurezza. Locale accogliente e pulito, dotato di climatizzazione. Torneremo certamente !

I went to dinner in this country house in the middle of the vineyards located in the industrial area of ​​Montecchio, a quiet and well-kept location. The prices are the strong point, the menu, although not very varied, the dishes are overall well made, an experience definitely to be repeated.

We had dinner on Friday, June 13, 2025 to celebrate the arrival of JOAO Candido Portinari and his wife Maria Edina, son of the painter Candido Portinari one of the greatest contemporary Italian-Brazilian painters, everyone was very happy, both for the food and the location.. Recommended I add my personal satisfaction for having organized the evening.. 😁

Location carina, ma soprattutto un menù vario e molto buono. Prodotti del territorio e un servizio cordiale. Ottimo anche lo spazio esterno, da sfruttare per chi ha figli durante la bella stagione.

The first courses, especially the truffle gnocchi and pumpkin macaroni, were tasty, balanced, and served in generous portions. The picanha was a real surprise: high-quality meat, perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The service deserves special mention: courteous, attentive, kind, and impeccable in every detail. It's rare to find a place that combines professionalism and warmth so well. Finally, an osteria that makes you feel at home, far from the coldness of certain impersonal restaurants. An authentic place, with sincere dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

Trattoria Al Bersagliere

22/10/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and I think I'll return at the first opportunity. The atmosphere is simple and the traditional, home-cooked cuisine is truly excellent. The duck bigoli were delicious, and the veal rib was tender and juicy. The staff were friendly, and the prices were fair. I highly recommend it.
19/10/2025: The fillet of mussels was delicious. The rest of the menu was also difficult to choose because it was full of special, typical dishes. Friendly staff, it felt like home. A wonderful experience. Reasonable prices. Excellent quality. Thank you for everything. Congratulations!
