We had a family lunch, enjoying a full menu, from a typical Calabrian appetizer with hot, cold, and fried dishes that are already filling, to two first courses, a second course, seasonal fruit, and dessert. All at a truly competitive price, considering the excellent products offered. The place is very clean, the staff attentive, and Marcello and Nicolina, true hosts, are always ready to welcome and advise all their guests. They are truly the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

La Locanda del Greco is one of those places that stays in your heart. Situated in a splendid mountain setting, it is the ideal retreat for those seeking tranquility, fresh air, and authenticity.
Excellent food: every dish is carefully prepared, using the highest-quality local products. From the typical cheeses to the cured meats and the local porcini mushrooms, from the traditional pasta dishes to the homemade desserts: everything was simply delicious. Each course tells a story, and you can sense the passion of the chef.
Value for money: truly excellent. You can eat and stay beautifully at a more than fair price, considering the quality of the products and the attention to detail.
Hospitality: warm, authentic, and attentive. The hosts are delightful, always ready to recommend excursions, share the history of the area, or simply make you feel at home.
The B&B is meticulously maintained, clean, welcoming, and features rooms that smell of wood and silence. Sleeping here is a rejuvenating experience: the mountain breeze, the birdsong, and the peaceful landscape complete the picture.
A perfect place to unwind, immerse yourself in nature, and rediscover authentic flavors. We will definitely return and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic experience, far from mass tourism.

Review – La Locanda del Greco: An Authentic Symphony of Calabrian Tradition
When the desire to bring together two worlds—Northern Italian refinement and the authentic soul of the South—is realized in a gastronomic experience, the result can be extraordinary. This is exactly what happened during our dinner at La Locanda del Greco, a true temple of Calabrian cuisine, where tradition becomes emotion and every dish tells a story.
We started with a very specific goal: to convey the value of our Calabrian culinary heritage to our esteemed friends in Northern Italy, particularly in Venice. And we can confidently say that we achieved our goal. La Locanda del Greco guided us on this gastronomic journey with a care, quality, and warmth rarely encountered.
Appetizer: The Essence of Calabria on the Table
The journey began with an appetizer that was surprising, both in its abundance and quality. A curated selection of locally sourced cured meats—the true stars of the region—opened the door: fragrant, perfectly aged, with a well-balanced flavor and a meaty texture that reflects the artisanal quality of the product. Alongside, eggplant and meatballs: perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a full but never overpowering flavor, perfectly reflecting the most authentic and "homemade" Calabrian cuisine.
First courses: handmade pasta and traditional sauces
But it's in the first courses that the soul of La Locanda del Greco truly shines through. The handmade tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms (in season and likely harvested locally) impressed us with the perfect consistency of the pasta and the delicate sauce, which allowed the scent of the Calabrian undergrowth to shine through.
The paccheri with eggplant and sausage were also unforgettable: a full-bodied, balanced sauce, made "just like at home," in which each ingredient played a specific role. The eggplant, creamy and well-drained, blended perfectly with a flavorful yet never-overpowering sausage, all tied together by a tomato sauce that tasted of summer and tradition.
Main courses: the warmth of home cooking
Among the main courses, the meat roll stuffed with ham and cheese stands out: tender, succulent, and enveloping. Here too, the quality of the ingredients is unquestionable: local meats, artisanal cheeses, and a cooking technique that enhances without overpowering.
To accompany the dish, new potatoes with their skins, expertly roasted. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with an authentic and full flavor: simple yet memorable, as only things well made can be.
Final considerations
At La Locanda del Greco, you don't just eat: you live an experience, you participate in a story told by skilled hands, authentic ingredients, and respect for the land and your roots. It's a restaurant that doesn't just serve food, but conveys culture, identity, and hospitality, just as we wanted in our small mission: to make our friends from the North feel the heart of the South.
A place where you leave feeling satisfied, pampered, and enriched, with the desire to return. And perhaps even with a tear of emotion in your heart.
