5 stars for these reasons: - they will pick you up with the shuttle to avoid the bump of the climb (if you are on foot) - poor but very genuine cuisine, made the most of by the skill of their chefs. Nothing particularly sophisticated but every dish was the bomb: the parmigiana was exquisite, the peppers were perfect. - their crocchè was sensational, fried as God commands (so it is not at all greasy and the breading is very crunchy). They could have offered us bitters as the icing on the cake but this doesn't detract from a good 10

We went to the farmhouse for dinner, a really nice place with a fantastic view and well looked after, there was a lot of green space and it was cooler than the restaurants further down the hill. Truly exceptional food, tasty dishes that also pleased the children, from appetizers to first courses to meat, even the side dishes with their very good garden products. Pleasant atmosphere and helpful, friendly service. They also have a very useful shuttle service to reach them.

A very quaint and wholesome place. Tucked away in the hills of the island, this restaurant is serving simply delicious food. Straight forward dishes with fresh ingredients, doing exactly what a lovely meal should ( plus the house wine needs an extra note of appreciation). Calming yet uplifting atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

What ever you do on Ischia do this. Fantastic food and very nice staff. We had the rabbit with the home made red wine.. Delicious. Our daughter went with the chicken. After a dessert, Oldtimer drowe us all the way back to our hotel free of charge. Very nice and polite.

Family cuisine, rich in flavor and also beautiful to look at, the fried courgette flowers are a real delicacy, while the Ischian-style rabbit and bucatini seasoned with its sauce represent the beautiful island tradition.

'A Taverna Dò Rè

18/12/2024: La Taverna sembra un posto turistico per la posizione centrale e vicino al Municipio ma non lo è. Se vi focalizzate sui piatti della tradizione napoletana non sarete affetto delusi. Noi abbiamo assaggiato dei mezzanelli alla genovese con la cipolla cotta come deve essere (forse la carne che l'accompagnava poteva essere cotta un pò più a lungo ed essere sfilacciata per amalgamarsi meglio col sugo) e una strepitosa braciola col ragù denso e corposo proprio come la faceva mia Mamma. Buone anche le melanzane fritte in accompagnamento. Pastiera fatta in casa deliziosa. Proprietari gentilissimi ed estremamente simpatici (quando gli abbiamo chiesto dove avessero preso il pane perchè ci era piaciuto assai, ce ne hanno regalato un filoncino). Insomma un posto proprio come in famiglia, per chi vuol mangiare bene in un'atmosfera di trattoria vecchia scuola. Prezzo contenutissimo (10€ per ognuno dei due piatti provati mi sembra veramente nulla, considerando che erano tanto abbondanti da valere per due porzioni). Ci torneremo sicuramente perchè qui abbiamo sentito il cuore meraviglioso dei napoletani.

06/10/2024: En un viaje de tres parejas, una de mis tareas era reservar un restaurante adecuado en Ischia para terminar un día completo de turismo, un montón de caminatas y un baño en el océano. Cuando llegamos por primera vez, no había nadie más en el restaurante y por un momento o dos estaba sintiendo la presión. Bueno, no tengo por qué haberme preocupado ya que Vincent y su padre nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos mientras servían un banquete de productos locales. El pescado (por foto) era particularmente destacado y la hermosa puesta de sol a través del mar era un telón de fondo adecuado para una maravillosa experiencia gastronómica.
05/10/2024: Very kind staff. Very fresh fish. Everything was excellent from starters to desserts. I highly recommend.
