Great place to stay and visit Trieste, Udine, Cividale, or travel further to Slovenia. Lucca and Paul are great hosts that immeriately make you feel at home. Pauls humor is unforgettable. So is the big pergola in front of the building, the biggest in Italy, Europe or even the world! While having breakfast or dinner under it, you have a wonderful view! This Agriturismo is a unique experience.

This was our first time in Friuli and we were looking forward to the landscape, the towns, the food, the wine, the mountains, and the sea. While searching for a personally run agriturismo, we came across the friendly reviews of La Faula and felt completely at home there! Luca and Paul have created a very special place, with plenty of space for retreat and peace, as well as for meeting people and sharing their humanity. We stayed with Luca and Paul several times. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. Excellent food and drinks, cleanliness and service were top-notch. Ideal location for excursions, especially recommended: Grado, Cividale, Udine, Venice, Trieste, and Aquileia. We'd love to come back!

We got to know La Faula when we spent our family holidays there in former years. Now with our children having grown up, we still love to go to Paul and Luca enjoying the good food, the calm environment and the perfect location for any kind of trip, like hiking and sightseeing. Sitting under the picturesque wine roof in the evenings and enjoying fine local wines and homemade food makes your souls rest in peace. LaFaula truly is a secret diamond in the Friaul region. Perfect for couples to spend some quiet time. We surely will continue to come back to this beautiful place and its lovely hosts!

What a stroke of luck! We decided at very short notice to go to Friuli in August, during peak season, and found this agriturismo. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the peace and quiet were wonderful. I was particularly impressed by the pool, where you could actually swim laps. The hosts were fantastic, and Paul, in particular, has such a warm and welcoming way that you almost feel like you're visiting friends. The rooms are beautifully renovated. They were cleaned and the beds made every day, just like in a hotel. I highly recommend the half-board option. The area is also fantastic. You can be in the mountains hiking in an hour, and at the sea in another. There were very few people on the hikes. Except for Trieste, even the cities like Udine and Cividale weren't overcrowded. And that was in August! Thank you so much, Paul and Luca, for the wonderful week.

It's the perfect agriturismo if you want to relax. We had a wonderful time; the peace and quiet are truly breathtaking. The vine-covered pergola is a lovely place to read and chat while admiring the greenery and undisturbed by distractions.

This was a very special stay for us; the landscape, vineyards and gardens were an ideal setting to recharge after a busy year, not least because Luca and Paul are such generous, dedicated hosts. Paul’s cooking is exceptional and the dining setting under a deep, broad pergola of fruiting vines is so beautiful. Plus I’m in love with the dogs and the white peafowl as they roam around.
