It was a fantastic tour! Michelle is an amazing guide, very experienced and knowledgeable sommelier! Fell in love with Frascati and her wine of course! Definitely a highlight of my Europe trip!

The property was nice and the wine was good. The organizer was great with providing detailed directions on how to access the tour. The tour itself was far more simple than I expected based on other reviews, and particularly for the price. We tasted 4 wines, had a simple pasta lunch, and our guide briefly showed us the wine cave.

It was great! Fantastic place with very nice people. Not a tourist spot, you really see something of Italian life on a vineyard. Made delicious pasta and also tasted delicious wines. Recommended!

We had the BEST time here!! The wine, the cooking instructions, and our tour group (Italians on a birthday trip tons of fun, they even sang some John Denver for us Americans). It was really nice getting to the outskirts of Rome and doing something different.

We had the most wonderful time at the Minardi Vinyard. Nico our guide was brilliant, the wine was wonderful and the whole experience was so thoughtfully put together that we all really had the best day. And thank you to Alfredo for all your help with supporting us getting to Frascati with the train strikes - you couldn’t have been more helpful!

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta making class and wine tasting. The experience was well worth the pleasant 18-minute train ride from Termini. For less than 80 euros per person we learned how to make 3 kinds of pasta, had an educational tasting session of the small batch wines produced from this 9th generation family vineyard, toured the small vineyards and took in the lovely panoramic views, explored the natural volcanic cellar, ate an incredible lunch with wine, antipasti, and chef-prepared sauces to supplement our freshly made pastas - and then were treated to live music from Alfredo (a Minardi family member). Our chef Annamaria was delightful and quick to help anyone who needed it with the pasta making, and translator / sommelier Michelle was very knowledgeable. This is great hands-on experience for almost any age. Our group ranged from a family with an 11-year-old girl to a group of college students to young couples to middle-aged and older couples and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. It’s fine if you don’t drink wine - the pasta class is the highlight and they offer juice and water as an alternative. Excellent value for money and a delightful easy day trip from Rome.

Pasta making class and wine tasting plus all the food was an amazing experience. The beautiful home and vineyard and history of the estate. We had two Italian chefs teach us, one in Italian and one who translated to English. The hands-on demonstration was so detailed. We had a sing along after where we enjoyed our meal together and their delicious wine. Enjoyed a beautiful day inside and out where we met so many new friends. This is a must on your visit to Italy! Wish we had done it earlier in our visit.

Ristorante Santa Cristina al Quirinale

06/08/2025: We bring our most important guests here from the ANGELICUM - the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, nearby. The restaurant is family owned and tucked in between buildings. The atmosphere is quiet so you can actually have a normal conversation. The food is the very best to be found in Rione Monti. It is really a hidden gem of our neighborhood. We personally know the owners. The mother "Cristina" cooks in the back with the father, and the son and his wife are the main waiters. You will find their dogs and children running around on occasion - truly a surreal experience of Rome that is not very often found any more - just next to the Roman Forum. My favorite is the Lasagna with onions and Gruyere cheese. Ask Enrico (the son) to take photo of you and see what happens 😂.
30/07/2025: Tucked away but an absolute gem even in busy season. The food was incredible, great portions and WONDERFUL service. A family owned business and hoping they stay in business for many more generations!

All'Oro

31/07/2025: An experience of flavors and concepts. Impressive presentations, excellent flavors, and attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff. We chose the "All'origine" tasting with a 6-glass pairing. The surprise was delicious... and we won't reveal it. For those who want to treat themselves to a memorable experience.
10/07/2025: Some dinners are not talked about. They are kept, like beautiful secrets. But something inside me wants to say thank you today. And it does so by writing. All'Oro is not a restaurant. It is a theater of taste, where every dish is a scene and every bite is a pause, a breath, a pang of emotion. I chose the tasting menu. Six courses. Each different, yet part of the same story. The buttons in dry broth were poetry, a delicate balance between memory and invention. The "carbonara summary" reawakened something in me that I had forgotten: the power of simplicity reinvented. The service was impeccable, but never cold. I felt listened to, guided, welcomed. The sommelier knew how to describe the wine as if it were a memory, not a bottle. And in every gesture there was care. In every glance, respect. The atmosphere is silent, muffled, intimate. A perfect place for those seeking a moment alone, or with someone they truly love. The light is soft, and seems designed to let the flavors and eyes speak for themselves. I left in silence. Comossa. Grateful. Sometimes words aren't necessary to understand that you've experienced something extraordinary. But today I use them anyway, to say thank you. Thank you to those who create with love. And thank you to those who, for a few hours, made me feel part of something beautiful. With all my heart, Maria
