Stunning place with panoramic views and run by very friendly people. Excellent food; I recommend the barbecue.

Abbiamo trascorso le nostre vacanze a Santa C, è il secondo anno e speriamo che la valle si conservi sempre così. All'Ables siamo saliti diverse volte, un trek di un'ora e mezza scarsa, bellissimo sentiero. Abbiamo sia pranzato che fatto merenda. Persone gentilissime, prodotti genuini, ambiente straordinario. Anche solo per il caffé del pastore ne vale la pena.

Structure in a privileged position, you can enjoy a fantastic view. The routes to reach it are beautiful, even doable with children from 6 years old, as long as they are used to walking uphill. The farm is family-run, has an outdoor kitchen and offers traditional dishes, in generous portions, well-balanced flavours, excellent cheeses, good polenta, very tender meat and very good sausage, not too spicy or garlicky . Prices on average. Friendly and pleasant staff. The surrounding environment can be improved. I will definitely come back!

Da S. Caterina il sentiero porta all'agriturismo con circa 500 mt di dislivello piacevole nel bosco. All'arrivo siamo stati accolti da 4 caprette, una serie di gattini meravigliosi di 2 mesi con mamma, vari cani dolcissimi, oche, galline...una vera Arca di Noè!!! Ma ciò che vi lascerà senza parole è l'altissima qualità della cucina rigorosamente casereccia, dai formaggi d'alpeggio, polenta taragna e...funghi porcini mai assaggiati così gustosi!!! Carne e salsiccia alla griglia e squisita accoglienza dei proprietari!!! Da non mancare un tour gastronomico da loro se siete da queste parti!!!

31/07/2023: We had a lovely meal at this place. We booked in advance and when we came we were taken to a table were there were some dishes on the table already and a few more was served right away. The concept here is that the antipasti is served right away and then the chef comes to explain what you can order. The interior is a bit weird – the place is a dark, old hut with a couple of levels but with lots of different artifacts to decorate the place. And with a fireplace it turned out to be a very cozy place. We decided to have some gnocchi to start with and the chef made two different types for us. As a main meal we decided to have meat – the meat was very tender but maybe a bit salty for me. It was served with some caramelized onions and a lovely local polenta. After the meal we got some cookies and biscuits and we also got a strong digestive drink. All in all a fun, informal dinner with a lovely bottle of Sforzato di Valtellina. The meal was about 140 € (I think the wine was about 40 €) to give you an indication of the price level.
