08/09/2025: An unforgettable experience.
I booked for 9, specifying 8 plus a high chair, and found a table for 8. There was practically no room for the high chair, which was put in the corner. Oh well, I thought, the place must be small... no big deal. We ordered, some from the menu, some from the tourist menu, some pizza, water, and drinks (including a glass of wine from the ones the waiter told us were available). Shortly afterward, the waiter returned, embarrassed, saying that the wine (it was a sparkling wine) was unfortunately sold out. Our shared thought was that they didn't want to open a bottle for a glass. Anyway... the appetizers arrived, good I must say, but expensive for the lemon. We asked the waiter for more lemon, and he told us he would bring it to us, but didn't specify where. 😅
It took us a while to finish the appetizers, precisely because the lemon was missing, trying to catch the waiter's eye, or anyone else's, to ask for a lemon. Result: fish appetizers finished without lemon.
The first courses arrive (good for those who ordered them) and the second courses (also fish, which needed lemon), but the lemon doesn't arrive 🍋
We ask for lemon, then we ask for lemon, then we ask for lemon.
And nothing... the lemon doesn't arrive. When I ask for lemon for the umpteenth time, the waiter (the embarrassed one from before) tells me that the lemon is out 🍋❌️
Now... if you offer fish dishes and you don't have lemon to offer, not only upon request, but also without it on the dishes, maybe you should change your menu.
The same situation as with the lemon occurs with the Coke. The first order arrived as expected, but the request for the second wasn't fulfilled because "...it's finished," according to the waiter, who is no longer embarrassed, but simply wants to disappear.
The evening ends, and I go to pay, confident that when I pay, I'll see a sign saying "Scherzi a parte" (Jerking Apart), but unfortunately it was all real... no sign, no Mediaset crew 😔
Paid fairly, just over €20 per person.
I wouldn't go back for the service offered.
Review update after the owner's comment claiming to own lemon trees: this circumstance was indeed brought up by the embarrassed waiter when he informed us that the lemons 🍋 were sold out, so much so that the issue of the trees being without lemons became a topic of conversation among the eight of us. That said, I wonder if he also owns bottled Coca-Cola trees 🤷🏻♂️
In conclusion, I think that if, in addition to failing to satisfy customers, you decide to comment harshly (almost lemony 🍋, I'd say) on a customer's review, showing off your lemon groves (which perhaps dried out inside due to the scorching temperatures and didn't perform very well), in addition to considering changing your offerings, you should also consider watering your lemon trees 🍋 so they might produce more and you can give them to the customers who ask for them.
