I had not yet been to the oldest restaurant in Pontedera and, honestly, I expected something more even if both the food and the service are good

Intimate dinner... magical atmosphere... sublime cuisine The owners, two masters of hospitality and dining The fish dishes were sublimely cooked... I highly recommend it, and for me, it was a superb experience, certainly not unique... See you soon 😘

Ristorante " Il Conventino "

06/10/2025: It's a place I've known for at least 30 years, isolated, beautiful, all wood and a rustic style that I like (my dad loved it too). Unfortunately, I haven't been for at least 4 years and I found a more limited menu (only 3 appetizers and 4 first courses) and very bland and anonymous dishes (to my disappointment). Then, during mushroom season, no mushroom dishes, and when I asked why, the answer was "just subordination." But if you don't mention it when booking or if it's not written on the website, how can anyone know this? Meh 🙏. Too bad we left a little disappointed. Maybe we just had a bad night.
01/10/2025: I've known Il Conventino for many years and have never been disappointed. Excellent traditional Tuscan cuisine and fair prices.

15/10/2025: I had pizza with white wine and a cappuccino afterward. It's a real treat to eat there. The service and atmosphere are good. And it's inexpensive. In short, go there.
09/10/2025: The service was very friendly and unobtrusive, and the food was delicious. We ordered appetizers, beef carpaccio, and fish—both dishes were a huge hit. The wine was also a plus.
