There were 20 of us who arrived at 2.30pm after having been booked by another restaurant, so it had to be a "workaround" and in the end it was a splendid choice. Delicious food and impeccable service. Truly TOP!

Local in the center of Pontedera, very elegant, typical Tuscan cuisine. One of the owners welcomes you and takes care of the service. It is the oldest venue in the city with over 123 years of activity. I go there often and get the typical Tuscan crostini with chicken livers, tagliatelle with pigeon or pappardelle with rabbit, both exceptional. As a second tip, Florentine ossobuco or peppered meat from Impruneta, or lamb or rabbit, to break away from the usual canons. Florentine steak also available. Excellent variety of desserts both fork and spoon. Decent wine shop with wines on display. Conservatory for smoking internally. An ideal place for business meetings, both for couples or dinners with friends.

Excellent food, Mrs Francesca gave us excellent advice and excellent service. The place has nice decor. The restaurant has been family-run for 124 years.
