Ad Hoc In Roma

We made a reservation by email and chat and had the truffle course. There was a Japanese waiter there who gave us a detailed explanation and it was a wonderful dinner. The portions were a bit too much for us and we unfortunately didn't make it to the final dessert, but we got cookies and pasta as souvenirs instead. I might return to Rome just to try the food here.

We celebrated our engagement here this past June. The food was incredible and the staff was so warm and attentive. We did the truffle tasting menu and it was incredible. Every course was delicious and I am picky when it comes to food, but ate everything. They gave us olive oil to take home and wrote congratulations on our plate. They made the night so special. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. If you come to Rome, this is a must to go eat at.

My husband and I arrived in Rome on a Thursday afternoon from Wisconsin, and our first dinner experience was at Ristorante Ad Hoc. We opted for the Roman-style cuisine tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quiet and romantic. I appreciated the decor, especially the various wine bottles displayed throughout, and I also liked the dishes the food was served on. That said, this restaurant leaned a little too "foodie" for my taste. I also discovered that I really dislike truffles! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed everything--including my leftovers. The wines were fantastic across the board. I also want to mention the pricing was shockingly affordable for what we got at dinner, which again, included the wine pairing. If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, Ristorante Ad Hoc is worth a visit.

If you’re looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, then we would absolutely recommend a visit to Ad Hoc. The service, food, and atmosphere of the restaurant was absolutely perfect. We got engaged earlier in the day, and were honestly made to feel like royalty from the moment we arrived that evening. We wouldn't hesitate to return if we are ever back in Rome. We had the most amazing dinner ever at Ad Hoc. Every dish was divine, the staff was lovely and extremely professional. We made a core memory there and will definitely be back for our next trip to Roma.

It's rare to experience such excellent, friendly staff as here. Top advice with excellent food. And the wine selection is huge and excellent. All at very fair prices. Thank you very much and we will be back.

Really great ristorante. Maybe more expansive than the others around but worth it. We enjoyed our meal and the food was delicious. The staff waa really friendly and helpfull.

This was an wonderful experience. We were recommended to this restaurant by friends. It was far beyond expectations. We are just sorry it is in Sicily, not closer to us in the US. It's worth a trip just to go there. Food and wine were just outstanding.
