Let's start with the highlights: the chef knows how to handle fish exceptionally well! This is no small feat. The fish is fresh and masterfully prepared.
Unfortunately, everything else was subpar: the combinations of ingredients in the dishes were rather predictable and not particularly successful, and the flavors in the two starters I tried were disjointed.
The place is average, a bit too noisy, and the tables are close together.
The service was inadequate. It's unfortunate to criticize the helpful staff, but bringing a bottle of wine to the table already opened is unforgivable. A little instruction from the owners would be enough to avoid these lapses in style.
I strongly advise the chef to increase the selection of raw fish and quick-cooked or steamed fish, where it is at its best.
This will also justify the prices, which are still on the high end.

Really had a wonderful time here ; particularly enjoyed the pasta with “cuore di tonno”. Really amazing stuff. Nice minimalist design which leaves space for the most important thing, the food.

Acciuga, a promise kept: elegant surroundings, genuine hospitality, and fish as it should be. Marinated anchovies on pappa al pomodoro, a revisited carbonara with bottarga, wine by the glass, and a delightful atmosphere. Excellent staff. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is decorated in a minimalist style, with a lovely outdoor terrace.
The quality of the fish is truly excellent, evident right from the raw fish dishes.
Overall, a very pleasant evening, especially appreciated was the kindness and courtesy of the chef, who visited the tables several times throughout the evening to make sure everything was going well.
The quality/price ratio was more than satisfactory.

Big disappointment!
I had enthusiastically chosen this restaurant based on some reviews and articles I'd read, but unfortunately the experience wasn't positive.
We waited over 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to order. The wait was very long. My appetizer arrived after everyone else had finished theirs. Two of the main courses on the menu were sold out by 8:45 PM. Finally, the bill was high for the offerings. What a shame.

Dining in Rome in August is often challenging, but it's also a great time to discover new places. Acciuga is a simple neighborhood restaurant with excellent cuisine, committed to offering quality food at a fair price. I tried excellent penne with cuttlefish and fish meatballs with salad, simple yet tasty and carefully executed dishes. The only drawbacks were the truly minimal wine list and the unmemorable zuppa inglese, while the coffee dessert was undoubtedly superior. See you next time!

A criticism helps to improve and enhance the present:
Location: the strong point of the place are the large windows kept clean that increase the perception of space and give a sense of cleanliness. The ceiling is high, it helps not to feel hot and enjoy the experience, the choice of colors gives the context a touch of modernity, urban colors with sea tones.
Table and cutlery: The table is a little small, it does not make it easy to manage the dishes, the backrest is a nice touch of class and taste, the chair instead of the other diner is rigid, if you sit too long you notice it.
The plates and cutlery are very well-finished, colorful and help to live the experience even before eating, they hone the flavor of the dishes and contextualize the ingredients.
Menu: the weak point is the menu, written by hand on a blackboard, I found it out of context, because it lowers the level of the experience and does not harmonize with everything just said. The QR code is confusing, full of advertising and unclear. The wine list is also handwritten in pen, you don't talk with the blackboard menu and the QR code, if it weren't for the friendly staff I wouldn't have eaten.
Staff: boys/girls very attentive to the customer, especially the girls were attentive to every phase of the tasting process, clear in meeting the customer when you didn't understand anything about the menu, the boy instead a smart and not very caring penis.
Food: the quality of the food is excellent, fresh and well cooked fish, home flavors but haute cuisine.
Chef: a humble person, attentive to the customer and attentive to making you feel good.
Overall I recommend it as a dinner during the week to try a bit of haute cuisine seafood in a context of the city of Rome that wants peace, taste and attention to detail.

Cena meravigliosa, materie prime di qualità eccezionale. Abbinamenti molto interessanti. Siamo stati veramente bene. Rapporto qualità-prezzo eccezionale. Carta dei vini puntata sulle Marche, regione dello chef, con Verdicchi dei Castelli di Jesi o di Matelica fantastici. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
Complimenti per il risotto con il ristretto di mormora, lo avrei preso altre 2 volte!
