Excellent meal by a chef from Italy’s east coast. I chose the 4-course menu during lunch for €80 and the signature coffee dessert for €12. I appreciated the chef explaining the menu and each dish.
More than enough food for me, I asked for the rest of the 4th course item (squid ink pasta) to be packed for takeaway. The first few dishes were raw fish, a seared tuna (amazing, my favorite of the courses), and an assortment of grilled vegetables covered in bread crumbs and spices.
The restaurant is quiet and spaced out with only 7 tables. There is a window into the kitchen so you can see the staff preparing the dishes.
Overall one of the better meals I had in Italy, not surprisingly since I found this place on the Michelin guide. Also a highlight was the Lauretana natural water. I swear Italy has the best water!!

Edit (after reading the restaurant's response): it seems rather obvious and needless to say that the opinion is personal, all reviews are personal, this is mine and it is based on my experience in other restaurants of a certain quality and on so-so experience in the restaurant in question, that's all, without rancor, when criticism is constructive like mine it must be accepted, I hope you accept it because it's the only way to improve.
Good food but overpriced and not very original. I go around a lot for starred or Michelin guide restaurants, so I have some experience in evaluating restaurants. Right in the same area there is a restaurant with 1 Michelin star for example that offers a tasting menu at the same price, which leaves me perplexed. Not so much for the price that the owner decides, but for the fact that the dishes are rather inferior in terms of performance and inventiveness compared to a starred restaurant. In the tasting menu, one of the dishes was a second course of seared fish, served without any accompaniment or sauce. Result, the fish was good but dry, and the breading covered the flavor a lot. In short, a dish not worth 25-30 euros. The starters were ok, but again, they lacked originality and the plating was also very basic. The dessert, nice but in the end even that, doesn't taste like a starred restaurant or Michelin guide. I had also recently been to another restaurant in the guide, not a starred one but much more in the centre, a much more chic place in a 4 star hotel, well I had paid less! Always tasting menu and more or less same conditions. And not only that, we also had several compliments from the chef between one dish and another that we didn't have here, apart from the initial amouse bouche which frankly wasn't even that great as well as not being in theme with the rest of the tasting.
I honestly don't know if I will return, there is a lot to review both in the menu and in the presentation.

Intrigued by a blogger's reel, I decide to "experiment" this restaurant with my husband. The concept is there like the raw material. Excellent. A gourmet imprint also given by the sobriety and minimalism in the dishes. Few ingredients, well chosen, all identifiable on the palate. All in all I am satisfied even if I was expecting something more intense, explosions of taste, a completely personal opinion. I would suggest, as a sommelier, to review the wine list or rather the supplies a little. Out of three wines chosen, present on the menu, only one was available. Small imperfections which, at these levels, must be considered. The staff is still in its infancy but friendly and helpful. The chef joined us at the table for general feedback, which we appreciated. Space gentian predessert!

Da apprezzare sicuramente la ricercatezza e lo studio che ci può essere dietro ai gusti e ai contrasti dei piatti, buonissimo il maritozzo (il fatto di togliere le posate di proposito poco prima di servirlo, per farlo mangiare con le mani, è veramente una caduta di stile, piuttosto che una sciccheria per far finta di essere un ristorante alla mano). Purtroppo il leitmotiv della cena sono prezzi esasperati se rapportati a portate misere. Le porzioni sono da finger food e lo dico mentre sto mangiando la pizza al taglio riscaldata del giorno prima. Il personale troppo spesso scostante, disattento, lento, inesperto, borbotta lamentandosi degli altri clienti e prova con gentilezza ad indurti le scelte dello chef.
Io mi chiedo, ma se sul menù, sono presenti come pescato del giorno orata e spigola, ti vengono ordinate un’orata e una spigola, per quale motivo devi tornare indietro a dirmi che secondo te sono lo stesso pesce (il che denota pure un’ignoranza ittiologica) e che quindi ce ne cucinerai solo una per tutti e due?
Tutto troppo autoreferenziale e egocentrico, basta leggere le risposte che vengono date ai commenti; bisognerebbe evidentemente prendere coscienza anche delle tante critiche ricevute invece di rispondere stizziti a chiunque provi a muoverne una.
180€ in due per due antipasti, due pezzetti di pesce (non ho ancora capito cosa mi sono mangiato), un dolce e un vino (38€) sono una follia per le quantità proposte, soprattutto se si esce avendo ancora fame. Qualità eccelsa, manca la contezza dei propri mezzi.
Locale ben arredato e curato.

Avevo sentito parlare di Federico e del suo ristorante e desideravo già da qualche tempo assaggiare le prelibatezze di pesce della sua cucina! Finalmente ci sono stata a cena con amici e devo dire che i risultati sono stati superiori alle aspettative! ! Tutto molto gradevole in un ambiente accogliente e familiare dove Federico senza darsi arie da guida Michelin offre menu di degustazione davvero ricchi di sorprese e piene di gusto e di sapore!
Bravi tutti anche i ragazzi studenti che servono in tavola!
