Excellent Japanese restaurant, so far the best in Italy.
The tasting menu is almost all vegetables or fish and is excellent: light and tasty.
The dishes are all excellent: difficult to choose the best.
They also have a list of Sakes to pair with the dishes.
Reservations are necessary.

I had the pleasure of dining at this lovely Japanese restaurant today, and it was an experience worth every penny and every moment spent. From the moment we enter, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming,
What stood out more than the delicious food was the exceptional service. The two waiters who served us were incredibly polite and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. One young gentleman from Bangladesh, in particular, went out of his way to assist us,He's warm and helpful attitude really made our dining experience special. The food itself was a testament to authentic Japanese cuisine beautifully presented fresh and full of flavour. From perfectly rolled sushi to delicious ramen and tempura every dish was a delight for the senses. The quality of preparation and attention to detail was evident making it clear that this restaurant prioritizes excellence in both taste and presentation. Love this restaurant 😍 I hope i will be there for soon.

I had dinner last night with my girlfriend at IYO Kaiseki for a birthday gift card. The location and the restaurant are wonderful, very well looked after and with a very interesting and pleasant play of mirrors and lights for a dimly lit dinner.
We tried the chef's tasting menu (€140 per person, 6 courses) to try the restaurant's strong dishes. Given the amount spent, I honestly expected to be more impressed by the dishes. The courses that remain imprinted in the mind are very few, in particular the squid with quail egg, the suckling pig cooked at low temperature and the dessert (sublime). Many courses were average but not exceptional as expected from a place that presents itself with these standards (the only one starred in Italy for Japanese fusion cuisine).
In my opinion, at least in the tasting menu, which should be the business card of a restaurant, they could be a little more daring, including other dishes to leave an indelible memory for the customer. For example, we found the sushi and sashimi good but not exceptional, and then served on a plate that was truly ugly to look at.
Very attentive and impeccable service in every aspect.
To conclude, we believe that the quality of the food vs. the price paid could be improved, perhaps the location of the restaurant and all the surroundings have too much of an impact.
WOULD YOU GO BACK? ❌ If I had to pay the entire bill NO, for €280 dinner we expected that extra touch that we didn't find.

Iyo Kaiseki is one of the most refined gastronomic experiences in Milan, awarded with a Michelin star. The restaurant offers a modern and artistic interpretation of the Japanese kaiseki tradition, combining the highest quality ingredients with impeccable presentation.
The tasting menu is a sensorial journey through delicate and balanced flavours, ranging from excellent raw fish dishes to more elaborate creations, with European influences. The atmosphere is elegant, intimate and minimalist, perfect for a special dinner.
The service is attentive and discreet, with a staff ready to guide you in discovering each dish and choosing the most suitable wine. A unique experience for those seeking the best of contemporary Japanese cuisine in Italy.
Recommended for: romantic dinners, special celebrations or for lovers of elite Japanese cuisine.

A truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience! I tried the 8-course menu and every dish was an authentic masterpiece, from the first to the last course. The price is absolutely right for the quality and the whole experience.
Special praise goes to the girls in the room: very kind, extremely professional and exceptionally skilled. They described each dish with great passion and precision, enriching the experience and making it unique. The girl at the entrance also proved to be incredibly welcoming and helpful, helping to make me feel at ease straight away ☺️
I will definitely be back!

Dinner for my birthday, a refined and very elegant environment. The staff, in addition to being very friendly, is extremely knowledgeable, more than you might expect in a Michelin restaurant. I'm a vegetarian and the plantbase offering isn't huge but the dishes are incredible. Excellent tea proposal.

I had an overall positive experience. Starting with the food, we chose the chef’s tasting menu, which consists of six courses, including raw, cooked, and cold dishes. Some are better than others, but overall it’s very good.
The service was impeccable, with attention to every detail to ensure an outstanding experience. For drinks, I had a 180ml bottle of sake at a great price, which complemented the meal perfectly.
