A Rusticana In Ragusa

Welcoming location, delicious food, competent staff… I ate sublime ravioli and a citrus brittle of absolute goodness… Congratulations indeed!

They haven't been here for 10 years. Same magical atmosphere. Away from the tourist crowds. Magical atmosphere and a return to the past. Traditional food. I would go back every night.

A homey trattoria on a narrow alley in Ragusa Ibla, with a quaint and quiet atmosphere. In nice weather, you can sit outside in the courtyard. The food is good, featuring all traditional Ragusa dishes. The service is good, and the owner is very friendly.

Disappointment after a four-year wait After four years, I enthusiastically returned to this restaurant, driven by fond memories. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. I ordered a meat appetizer, grilled spaghetti with tomato sauce, and a cannoli. The appetizer included several dishes, all very similar in flavor: a dish that seemed assembled more to increase the bill than to surprise the palate. The spaghetti, although well cooked and with an interesting aroma, was completely lacking in flavor. The dessert was the biggest disappointment: the cannoli, along with the other desserts, seemed to have just come out of a supermarket package. Nothing that reminded me of the authenticity and care of the home cooking I had so appreciated years ago. In the end, the only thing that remained truly "salty" was the bill. What a shame.

Trattoria con corte interna all’aperto incantevole. Abbiamo pranzato sotto l’ombra del glicine. Cibo ottimo e personale gentilissimo. Prezzi nella media. Ragusa bellissima e ci torneremmo senz’altro.
