A Rota - Pizzeria Romanesca In Roma

Mario, the server, was great; he provided us with more than professional service. I have no complaints, I highly recommend him.

I came to A Rota almost two years ago now and decided to repeat on a Monday at 10:00 pm. I found the dough slightly changed, perhaps less crunchy and a little bit tending to rubbery, but these are trifles on a very high level. Prices more than fair for Rome. Mario the Head Waiter makes a huge difference in management, with a place that he keeps in a careful way, working only at the table (without take-away). Congratulations!

The pizza is typically Roman, thin but not crunchy, good and well topped, excellent suppli, fillet steak too. Too bad that if the group is not complete (and by group I mean even three people ...) they do not let you in; I do not understand this policy since the diners while waiting for the others could nibble and drink, therefore consume to the advantage of the place; quite rude at the entrance, they blocked us in a bad way considering that we were women over sixty ... and all present! telling us also that they had sent a message that we had to follow and that they did not have time to waste because they were working (clearly the very long message had arrived in the afternoon when we were all working ...) Some young guys are very kind but it probably always depends on who happens to serve you. If we had known in advance of the above, we probably would have changed place: a very good pizza is indigestible if enjoyed with these premises.

Very good Roman pizzeria. Difficult to book because it is always full, but it is worth it. Excellent fried food, quality Roman pizza. Always updated menu with monthly specials. Friendly staff, very nice owner

EXCELLENT PIZZA If I could give it 6 stars I would. It is no coincidence that it is at the top of many guides' rankings on where to eat a TOP-NOTCH Roman pizza. The dough is low and very crunchy, just as Roman pizza should be. The raw materials are fresh and genuine and the fried foods are all made by them. They also have a seasonal menu, from which we ordered a pizza filled with Caponata di Melanzane which was truly sensational. Another special mention for their Pizza Dolce filled with cream with chocolate ganache which drove me crazy. I highly recommend going there but book in advance because it is not very big.

The family gastronomic tour continues, my wife, an excellent scout, decides to book at this pizzeria for a Sunday evening (very famous among the most attentive consumers of one of the most loved foods in the world, pizza!) By respecting the time slots for reservations (5.00pm-7.00pm) she manages to secure a table for 4 people in the external area upon entering the restaurant. We were seated in very little time and although the temperatures were not yet summer we didn't suffer from the evening humidity, we explored the fried foods (classic supplì and Roman trio) all very good, and various pizzas from the margherita with buffalo mozzarella to the May special. What can I say, the cooking, the flavors and the seasonings fully met our expectations. So much so that it made us want to also explore a sweet pizza, which was a further confirmation of how good their pizza chefs are and how much the standards of the excellent Sami are respected (one of the pioneers of the qualitative rebirth in the city and in Italy of real Roman pizza made as it should be!) all this was enhanced by a fast and genuinely friendly service from all the waiters encountered, as well as by the extremely honest bill. We will continue to explore all your new projects, congratulations!

Top spot for Roman pizza, it surpassed my first feed from years ago. The special pizzas deserve the hype of waiting for them to put them on Instagram. Well done everyone. Worth it.

What can I say, as a colleague, every time it's a unique experience, top pizzas, real Roman, It's useless to say other things about the rest. Come on

Innanzitutto vorrei fare un appunto. Il personale e il signor Mario in particolare hanno dimostrato grande professionalità e attenzione alle esigenze del cliente nonostante spiacevoli episodi di maleducazione da parte di alcuni clienti di passaggio. Il signor Mario in particolare è stato molto paziente ed educato. I prodotti sono di ottima qualità e la cura delle materie prime è eccezionale. I fritti sono superlativi con una buona dose di croccantezza. Le pizze sono magnifiche e l’impasto molto leggera senza essere pesante. La scelta non è vasta, ma è perché dietro c'è una grande attenzione ai dettagli. Come dire? Poche ma buone! Pizzeria consigliatissima da chi da anni frequenta i locali della capitale e non solo. Famiglia Lupoli.
