Unique experience, excellent cuisine, unbeatable price

For me, it's the best place in all of Catania. I felt like a kid again at my grandmother's house. The food is delicious, and you can taste it's made with love. The staff is the best you'll find, and the price is really fair for what you get. The Zibbibbo and wine were also delicious; I highly recommend it.

Good morning, I don't usually write reviews, but this time I HAVE to. Yesterday, my friends and I had lunch at Il Calabrese with Za Santa and the whole family. I have to compliment them for their kindness and helpfulness. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. Eating at Il Calabrese takes you back to when you ate at your grandmother's and everything was delicious. Thank you, we'll be back soon to try the stockfish.

It doesn't get more authentic than this! A family-run cafeteria, delicious, homemade food in a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone is incredibly friendly. I've been there three times and each time it's a unique experience. If you're looking for good, affordable, and above all, authentic food away from the tourist traps, this is the place to go.
