A wonderful discovery...a cave with a small river flowing backwards in the heart of Catania. If that weren't enough, you'll also find excellent food with generous portions at a great price and minimal wait times....An absolute must-try!

The dishes are well-prepared, excellent, and competitively priced. The cave setting makes everything even more enchanting. We found it by chance the first time, so we've returned and left satisfied.

il locale è vicinissimo a piazza duomo in una zona davvero molto animata con altri locali vicini. non è un posto in ma molto accogliente. la sera in cui abbiamo cenato era letteralmente strapieno di gente ma anche senza prenotazione i camerieri sono stati gentilissimi ci hanno subito preparato il tavolo e subito preso la prenotazione. certo abbiamo dovuto aspettare un pochino vista la quantità di gente ma nonostante questo hanno portato subito gli antipasti per non farci stare troppo senza cibo e portato come prima cosa l ordine per mio figlio di 3 anni in modo da non farlo aspettare più del dovuto. serata andata benissimo. senza considerare poi che il cibo era davvero buono

17/10/2025: We found this inn by chance because of the festival. After booking, we arrived and were warmly welcomed. The place is rustic, well-kept, and clean. I can say that the appetizer is high-quality, with fresh cured meats and delicious caponata, as are the local cheeses. We tried the 4-taste pizza, and I can say that the dough is very light, the sausage is good, homemade, and well-seasoned, even the potatoes were good. The desserts and liqueurs are delicious. The staff is helpful, kind, and friendly. It's a must-try for anyone in the area.
16/10/2025: My expectations were different from what I expected!!! The caponata was so-so, the tomato with skin was not good... the pasta was in bianco with white pork ragù and 2 raw mushrooms thrown in there... the mutton chops were thin and very thin. The only super dish were the potatoes. I sincerely recommend putting a little more care into the cooking, putting love into the dishes, making passing tourists happy, maybe they'll come back or maybe even recommend the next one.!!
