I randomly chose here to have Polpo, and I'm so happy with my choice. It's a petit lovely scilian riatorante with quality service. The polpo was well cooked but not too much, and I liked the bruschette. I was told it'd be too much yet it was just good!

I would say the food is okay, I can’t understand why it comes so highly rated. We ordered the swordfish and a bowl of pasta. The fish was a little overcooked, drenched in olive oil and the pasta didn’t taste fresh. We queued for about 30 mins but the staff did their best and updated us regularly. Once we ordered our food came within minutes but the whole affair felt very rushed. So much so we decided to take our 3/4 full bottle of wine with us to enjoy back at our hotel as it was clear our table was needed.

We ate spectacular pasta with pistachios, my children's wasn't as good, good wines, good music and very nice decoration, the only flaw is that they serve you very quickly and then move away to make room for someone else, which makes you a bit nervous, even so I would definitely repeat.

Yes little outdoor tables are atmospheric and the food was really good (octopus salad and grilled tuna salad + glass of grillo white wine) but it was the amazing service that I will remember forever - the best I’ve experienced in Italy. So thoughtful, unrushed and with great suggestions. Got there right on opening for the lunch service so bo queue.

After a week traveling through Sicily, this is the best restaurant we've been to. Typical dishes with a touch of my grandmother's, and the caponata is delicious.

Characteristic place in the heart of Ortigia. I ate the Ferdinando soup, and the potatoes insabbiate! Fabulous. A special compliment to the manager who welcomed us with warmth.

30/04/2025: Delicious first courses, good second courses and desserts too, quiet environment.
02/03/2025: Ho provato questo ristorante già un paio di volte quest’anno e ho apprezzato molto la cucina di pesce avendo provato la pasta allo scoglio, all’astice ed il mix di antipasti! Tornerei volentieri per provare il resto ma forse non riuscire a prendere di nuovo lo scoglio che mi è piaciuto veramente tanto! Servizio cortese e prezzi nella media!
