Where to start? We had just visited the Borghese and we (3 adults and 2 children) were on the verge starvation. We checked this place out on a whim and boy we were not disappointed. Warm, inviting atmosphere. It's hard to decide what's more of a star: the owner or the food! The owner runs the front of house. So much energy and you can tell he cares about the food that he provides. Does not speak much English but you're in Rome figure it out. We had no problem ordering. And he works very hard to make your night enjoyable even bringing out the desserts to show us what was what. Be warned, the primi pasta courses are not only amazing but huge by Italian primi standards. Highly recommend the carbonara and the amitricanna. Ohhh and the pasta fagioli soup! My girls devoured the calamari like rabid wolves and the sausage with potatoes was outstanding! This slightly out of the way gem is worth the walk. You'll need the steps to work off the delicious calories.

From the moment you enter, you feel you're in for a great Italian culinary experience, starting with the service, which makes you feel at home. The variety of the menu, the freshness of the ingredients, and the smoothness of the textures are undoubtedly a great example of the delight of authentic Italian cuisine. Highly recommended.
