Tipica osteria e grapperia nel centro storico di Padova, dove è difficile trovare il parcheggio per l'automobile. Infatti sul lato sinistro della tovaglietta di carta c'è scritto addirittura dal 1947 non si trova parcheggio. Per il pranzo abbiamo scelto un tavolo nella veranda vista la giornata prettamente estiva. Spunciotti, bigoli, baccalà e prosecco la fanno da padrone. Gradevole atmosfera e piacevole pranzo.

A very atmospheric and pleasant place. Located in a beautiful part of Padua. Affordable menu, moderate prices. The food was very good, delicious and fresh fried fish. Everyone enjoyed the risotto. A large selection of wines at affordable prices, unfortunately no home wine in carafes.

In the last year, traveling around Italy for work, I have tried dozens of restaurants, so I promised myself not to leave any more reviews except for excellent or terrible places.
Well, this clearly falls into the first category.
The menu is limited but complete.
We are talking only about fish, of course.
I had the sardines (and prawns) in saor and the Venetian cod.
First time in Padua, if we leave aside a trip in adolescence, so I focused on the most characteristic dishes.
The sardines won me over.
The choice of red onion left its mark.
Thanks to a generous portion of sugar in the recipe (by their own admission), the dish was tasty but melting.
The deception was just around the corner but it was expertly served.
9/10 only because the spine of the sardines was perceptible.
Cod is the dish you expect, nothing less but NOTHING MORE.
I would have thought of a recipe with an abundance of salt (cod, capers, olives...), but no!
It was tasty but enjoyable: the (wholemeal?) polenta probably compensated for the spiciness. 8/10 because I'm not a cod lover, so I could say excellent for my standards.
The outline.
It should be mentioned because I have never seen such a generous portion of mushroom brisée.
Fried just right, tender and tasty.
10/10.
Then alcohol.
A glass of vintage brut: perfect.
With the sardines, a cold appetizer, it was the right complement.
Then a glass of bardolino claret.
Unconsciously rosé had the character of a determined and brilliant white.
In short, it was good, and cost €3.50
But how much do you spend in this place?
The right. Maybe even less than it deserves, because everything was spot on.
Water included in the cover charge at €2.50. Microfiltered water costs nothing but who does it?
If you pass through Padua go to Osteria del Pesce.
I will return next time, without a doubt!

Very good quality and equally positive service. Ate excellent creamed cod and amazing saor sardines. The bigoli are excellent. Furthermore, the vast choice of wines make it a recommended place.
