Despite the rain, we managed to get to this place, restaurant-pizzeria 13 times place and taste, very particular that I recommend, in the historic center of Gravina in Puglia. The peculiarity is the high vaults and the type of environment, we were in the last room located 18 m from the street level. Everything is perfect from the welcome to the service, together with my husband and our friends we chose to taste the pizzas, which we found superlative, from the very light dough to the use of first choice ingredients. Some of my friends chose to accompany it with a glass of sweet prosecco, others chose beer. Both results, excellent choices. Desserts chosen, very good. Try it to believe it!

Lovely place, well done and with attention to detail! Suitable for intimate dinners and a beautiful place for events too! The cuisine is excellent and particular, excellent selection of wines! If you want to spend a different evening and come to Gravina in Puglia I recommend it! I forgot, the staff is very kind and attentive! I will definitely be back 😊

Stratospheric leavened products, the lasagna with mushrooms was very fragrant, only a little salt was missing considering the presence of bechamel which made it a little too sweet on the palate... good bombettes. The amazing caramel dessert

An evocative place that you wouldn't imagine could exist, attentive, friendly and non-invasive service. Leavened and mind-bogglingly sweet. First with an intense aroma, shame about the lack of salt and simple meat... furnishings to be rethought... no earthenware jars! I will definitely come back.

Sono stato ieri per la prima volta, essendo di Gravina, continuo a chiedermi perché non lo fatto prima!😅 Location eccellente, la titolare Grace con tutto lo staff personalità gentile, cordiale e simpatica. Qualità della materia prima molto soddisfacente. Da ritornarci di sicuro !

19/09/2024: This place uses Mauro coffee beans and a La Marzocco machine capable of producing “God shots”! 😳 A perfect dark chocolate espresso that sparkles and lingers in your mouth. The hardest thing to reproduce consistently in the world of espresso. Their chocolate gelato was also fantastic. Great staff too.

18/01/2025: The Locanda sul Porto in Monopoli is a true masterpiece of local gastronomy, especially for those who want to taste the freshest fish prepared with skill. We chose this restaurant for a dinner with friends from America and Venezuela, and both we and they were more than satisfied. The dishes, in addition to being abundant and with attention to detail, were so good that I didn't have time to photograph everything we ordered: we let ourselves be won over by the goodness and started eating immediately. What I managed to immortalize however gives an idea of ​​the extraordinary quality. The restaurant is a perfect balance of authentic food, generous portions and fair prices. It is not one of those "tourist" places that are found everywhere and where you end up paying a lot without actually tasting the real Apulian cuisine. Here, however, quality is at home, both for locals and tourists. If you are looking for a place to eat fresh and genuine fish, without spending a fortune but without giving up taste and experience, this is the perfect place. We appreciated every detail: the incredible service, with a helpful waiter capable of communicating in English, which made everything easier for our foreign friends. The location is very pleasant, both inside, with an intimate and well-furnished room, and outside, where we had dinner enjoying a suggestive view of the port. Even outdoors the atmosphere was fantastic, a perfect mix of tranquility and charm. I highly recommend La Locanda sul Porto to anyone coming to Monopoli and wanting to avoid the usual overly touristy places, where you pay dearly without getting real quality. Here you eat very well, you pay the right amount and you have an authentic experience. A true gem from the south, ideal for those who love good food and want to discover the authentic flavors of this land!
