051 Osteria Santo Stefano In Bologna

Yesterday we had a very good dinner: excellent food, impeccable service, kind and extremely helpful staff, reasonable price. TO VISIT!

Overall positive experience. Very nice place, there are multiple rooms and also the possibility of having lunch outside under the famous Bolognese porticoes. We ordered the starter with mixed cold cuts and cheeses for 2 accompanied by a mixed basket with tigelle and fried gnocco, the fried tortellini with parmesan fondue and the Bolognese cutlet and it was all good. The only flaw was that the mixed platter did not include any type of accompanying bread (bread/focaccia/tigelle/fried dumplings) and that the classic bread basket included in the cover charge was not brought to us with the appetizers, but with the first courses , so we had to order a mixed basket of tigelle and fried gnocco separately, which however was absolutely not enough to accompany the cured meats. Not wanting to spend any more on tigelle or similar, we ended up eating without bread. Another flaw was the waiter who served us, not particularly friendly or nice. Overall for food I recommend it.

It is one of the most beautiful and comfortable places in Bologna. Prices are reasonable Beer, wine, snack and 2 coffees cost 16 Euros I came 5 years ago, the same environment has not changed at all.

I think it is the most beautiful part of the city. This square really is beautiful & atmospheric for all hours of the day. The service was perfect if we only got drinks.

Unique atmosphere, the restaurant overlooks the complex of seven churches in Piazza Santo Stefano; More than decent food. The only flaw: the poorly maintained toilets.

Esperienza positiva a pranzo per il cibo (ottime le lasagne al ragù, i tortellini pasticciati e indimenticabile la guancia di maiale brasato!) e soprattutto per l' accoglienza e cura che il personale presta verso i clienti, tanto più che abbiamo prenotato per la cena dove hanno avuto comprensione per il ritardo di alcuni amici commensali: il responsabile Luca - attentissimo e molto molto cordiale e simpatico - mi ha anche offerto un bicchiere di pignoletto che ho gustato attendendo i miei amici fuori dove la vista dà sulla magica Piazza Santo Stefano. Cosa aggiungere: i piatti sono quelli tipici della cucina bolognese, cucinati con cura e serviti tutti assieme e in pochissimo tempo, il locale è accogliente, informale, ma il valore aggiunto sono di sicuro il team del personale, tutt@ ragazz@ preparati, attenti e sorridenti. Siamo stati bene e consiglieremo questa Osteria anche ai nostri amici. Grazie Luca

Cibo buono, personale gentile, prezzo nella media

The location is very good next to the church and close to our hotel. We sat outside to eat lunch. Not all our food was good, it was a hit and miss. Service was okay, but not very attentive. They never came back to check if everything was okay and we had to flag them down to pick up our plates. The lady serving us seemed to be off shift, so the other guys just stood there talking to each other. We will not return.

There are many outside tables with good views of the nearby plaza. The service is friendly and efficient. I had the vegetarian tortellini in tomato sauce which was delicious.
