01/10/2025: Unfortunately, there was no mention of the hut being closed on the signs or in the towns. It was sobering to see this after a long journey there...
At the time of planning a few days earlier, there was no mention of it on Google.

The staff are truly friendly, the food is delicious, the rooms are clean and beautiful, and all at a fair price!
You can purchase their products and go horseback riding.
A wonderful find!

21/08/2025: Delicious food and excellent value. Super friendly staff. Very refined atmosphere with lots of wooden details. The platter was very generous, we shared it. The dumplings and Straube were delicious!
18/08/2025: How wonderful it was to escape the scorching heat of the city and find yourself quickly and without having to plan anything in a beautiful place surrounded by nature, away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, cool and welcoming, with Monica and her cat.
We ate excellent tagliatelle with venison ragù and a trio of canederli with melted butter that deserved a second helping, accompanied by a venison stew that I thought was a bit too spicy, but that's just a matter of personal preference.
Good value for money.
If you're in the area, keep this place in mind.

07/09/2024: Non avendo molte alternative ci siamo fermati, anche perché invogliato dal menù esposto lungo il sentiero e anche a circa 100mt dal locale. Peccato che una volta entrati e seduti abbiamo scoperto che parte del menù non era disponibile. Cibo buono, niente di che, servizio scarso, abbiamo ordinato tagliere per ingannare attesa e ci è arrivato dopo i piatti ordinati, insalata di cavolo cappuccio......non pervenuta. Prezzo troppo alto

Panorama Hotel Penegal Restaurant

02/06/2024: Arrivati in cima dopo una bella passeggiata vediamo questo hotel-ristorante... Se non fosse stato pieno di moto avremmo pensato fosse chiuso. In realtà entrando si raggiunge la terrazza che ha una vista mozzafiato sulla vallata e sul lago di Caldaro.
I prezzi forse sono un po' alti, ma ne è valsa la pena.
Risotto all'aglio orsono con formaggio di capra fresco e spezzatino di cervo con polenta: buonissimi.
I dessert anche molto buoni.
Gentilissimi con il nostro cane che ha subito ricevuto dell'acqua senza chiedere.
Torneremo sicuramente.
