10/11/2024: Little organization among the staff, to eat we waited over 2 hours to have a cold and unsatisfactory first course. The bill was too high for a starter and 2 first courses, we spent 50 euros. I would absolutely not recommend.
10/11/2024: On the evening of Saturday 9 November 2024, a friend of mine and I entered this restaurant at 8pm and asked if there was room. After a minute of arrogant looks between the chef and the waitress, they found the place and made us sit. We wait 15 minutes just to get the menu. In total there were 7 tables occupied. The order is taken. We ordered a starter to split and a couscous each, plus water. (The water arrived smelling of alcohol and required to be changed and in the room there was always a strong smell of gas). The dishes are passed from the kitchen through a sort of window open onto the room so the two waiters don't have to make many turns. The appetizer was the falafel, they arrived at 9.15pm, after having been placed on the windowsill of that window for a few minutes and then taken to the wrong table before we understood together that they were ours. They brought us 3 falafels (1 and a half each) and they weren't that great. An hour passes, it was now 10.10pm and we asked for the timing of the couscous and the waitress began to justify herself by saying that the chef was alone in the kitchen and, hearing this, she looked out of the window and said - Now they're coming, I did all the preparations first. starters, now I'll start with the first courses --; I explain that 2 hours had passed since we sat down and all this time was absurd, she replies: -- we're not at McDonald's --. Counter: -- but who has ever been to McDonald's?! precisely because it is a restaurant I expect restaurant service and the service takes place per table, not per room. It is the waiter who has to report to the kitchen when the table is about to finish the starter so that the first course can be prepared in the kitchen and the same for the second course --. She replies that they are all freshly prepared dishes. After five minutes the couscous arrived in batches but I didn't even know if mine was mine or not because when the waitress asked the chef which table it belonged to, the chef answered in an inappropriate way. The couscous were hot only on the surface, inside they were at room temperature therefore, they were not freshly prepared but put in the oven to briefly "heat up" and stop. Nothing wrong with that, a restaurant can prepare dishes before or half-cooked but, even more so, why not serve them at the right time? why say they are freshly prepared?! Anyway they weren't very tasty, we finish and get up to pay. In the meantime we notice that another table of 4 people is also complaining for the same reasons as us. We go to pay and with a discount of 0.75 euros each, we paid 24.00 euros each!! Yes, we had read the menu and the prices had already seemed high to us but if it had been compensated by excellent service and dishes, that would have remained the only flaw but, having to pay a high amount for having sat for 2 and a half hours for having eaten a plate of couscous and a meatball, plus various frictions, also no. The waitress at the checkout was trying not to issue a receipt and we had to specifically request it. He said nothing like this had ever happened but we are sure that this is not the case. We can also read it from some reviews. Those who have reviewed positively will have paid with TheFork discounts and eaten during the week with a maximum of two tables. We explained to her that the service must be done per table and not per room, because if a table has 15 starters and we have 1 then I cannot move on to the first course if the 15 starters have not been served and eaten... and that's just the comparison between two tables!! Imagine with 7!! Absurd, absurd!! We would have preferred them to tell us to come back another evening and not have let us sit. So, if you decide to go, make sure they have changed the way they manage the kitchen! If you open a restaurant, I expect restaurant service and that was not in the slightest!!
