22/10/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at the Meridiana Lounge and the experience was simply fantastic! The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, perfect for both a romantic evening and a get-together with friends. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive, always ready to recommend dishes and pairings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

05/10/2025: Well, first of all, the word lounge isn't appropriate because they don't have a cocktail list. At most, they'll make you a gin and tonic, and traveling 50 km for dinner with a cocktail, I find that misleading. We waited 45 minutes for a tartare and a poached egg, a bit too long, and my first course and my partner's second course were equally slow when the place was half empty, really too long. Good ingredients. High prices, among other things, they mention grated truffle, and on both dishes (Angus tapas and fusilloni) a minimal amount of truffle (summery in my opinion), a maximum of a couple of grams per plate, where the minimum should be 4 to 7 grams, although I've happened to other places where I didn't see the pasta despite how much truffle there was, and it was the prized black one... and this one wasn't. The atmosphere is nice, but being out of the way, they can't demand such prices. Two good-quality appetizers, a fusilli pasta and Angus beef tapas, and a bottle of wine (€40). I can't afford to pay €140 per person, with all due respect. I didn't pay for the liqueurs because they were offered, pointing out that it's slightly inappropriate to associate them with a lounge. They were, however, very friendly and kind.

From the moment you step through the door, you sense that every detail has been carefully considered: the location is elegant yet unobtrusive, the interior rooms oozing charm, the garden adorned with plants and scents that transport you to faraway places. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming; you feel at home, yet pampered like in a gourmet restaurant. The cuisine is the beating heart of L'Horto. The chef manages to surprise and comfort at the same time: well-balanced dishes, made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients, presented with taste and originality. You can sense the passion behind every course—from appetizer to dessert—and the valorization of local flavors is done with respect and with that innovative touch that makes everything memorable.  The wine list is also noteworthy, thoughtful and well-stocked: regional variations, carefully selected pairings, and expert suggestions that enhance each dish.  The service is another strong point: kindness, professionalism, and the ability to truly make you feel like a "guest" and not just a customer. Never intrusive, always present at the right times, with attention to detail that makes the difference.  Price? It's in the medium-high range, but absolutely justified by the overall quality: select ingredients, a refined atmosphere, and a refined experience. If you're looking for a special evening, a restaurant that leaves its mark, L'Horto dei Semplici doesn't disappoint.  In short: a true gem in Ciociaria, where (true) simplicity becomes sophisticated, where taste becomes poetry, and where every dinner can become a memory. A worthwhile choice, and one that—if you're lucky—you'll want to repeat soon.

09/11/2025: The coffee was very good. The service was friendly and helpful. The toast and the cutlet sandwich were very poor. The cutlet didn't smell or taste like anything—an unpleasant dining experience.
