11/01/2025: My wife and I were traveling to Italy from US. We had but given up hope of finding good Indian food in Italy after visiting sub-standard Indian restaurants in Naples and Rome. But visiting Curcuma situated in Lecco near Lake Como was an entirely different experience. We stayed there for 4 nights and we found ourselves coming back to the restaurant for dinner every night. The food was delicious and authentic and the restaurant owners were friendly and warm. It definitely is the best Indian restaurant in Italy we have come across so far and we will be back here when we visit Como!
04/01/2025: Indian restaurant with friendly, professional and very welcoming local staff. I recommend anyone passing through Lecco to stop by "Curcuma" for a moment of relaxation and to try some quality food.

20/12/2024: A paradise for eating food full of hair and engaging with a well trained staff whose first reaction would go as "you put hair in there for a discount", when the customer was ready to pay in full and just wanted them to acknowledge the mistake, which they didn't even after the full payment. Furthermore, the size of serving as compared to what they charge is a rip-off. Take 20min. extra out of your schedule and find another indian restaurant.
08/12/2024: with oriental flavours, the typical Karma, the mysterious east instills joy and taste in the palate and soul.

12/10/2024: Amazing Hospitality, Authentic Ingredients, and Insights into Vedic Health Practices at Shakahari Lab!
We had the pleasure of visiting Shakahari Lab in Bellano during our trip, and it was such a memorable experience! Naila, the lovely owner, has truly embraced Indian culture and offers an impressive selection of high-quality ingredients. We were craving some simple Indian food during our extended Europe trip, and her store had everything we needed to cook a meal at our Airbnb.
Naila not only welcomed us with homemade chai and biscuits but also shared her deep knowledge of Vedic health practices. She took the time to explain how to better consume certain foods and ingredients to benefit our health—a wonderful and thoughtful touch! Her passion for holistic wellness and understanding of these ancient practices really added to the experience.
Beyond this, she gave us great recommendations for local places to visit and restaurants. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel at home, and her knowledge of Indian cuisine and culture is remarkable (she even speaks Hindi!).
If you’re ever in Bellano, make sure to stop by Shakahari Lab—not only to support a wonderful local business but to experience Naila’s generosity, wisdom, and passion firsthand. Highly recommended!
27/08/2024: A delicious ice cream, authentic flavor, you can feel that it is artisanal and made with natural ingredients. The rose flavor is excellent, the pistachio gives the sensation of eating the freshly shelled fruit.
I highly recommend it, especially if you want to have a tasty stop after visiting the gorges of the ravine; there is a delicious cart.
