01/09/2024: I highly recommend it, excellent location and excellent menu, especially the porceddu.
25/08/2024: I had dinner at the Ulivi with a group of friends and unfortunately the experience was not the best. I have been coming to this part of Sardinia every year for at least twenty years and no Sardinian dinner I have taken part in has been of such a low standard. These were the following courses. Starters: fried (courgettes, peppers, aubergines), various cured meats and cheeses, caponata, a sort of local cheese/ricotta First courses: malloreddu and ravioli (with ricotta and saffron filling) Second course: suckling pig with potatoes and sheep Desserts: seadas, panna cotta, chocolate cake. Let's start with the fried foods: bland, inside (courgettes, aubergines and peppers) raw not to mention CRISPY and doughy breading. Tasteless and mostly raw caponata. Local cheese too "acidic". Plate of cold cuts and cheeses acceptable in taste but not in quantity. First courses: the saddest malloreddu in history. Cold, pale, tasteless, with inedible sausage and watery gravy. Cold and poorly cooked (raw) ravioli, filled with ricotta and saffron, savage in taste. Second: suckling pig. Without praise and without infamy. Back of salt and springs in the outermost parts where greater crunchiness would be appreciated. Overall some pieces were edible (it's still pork) others were RAW. I forgot the potatoes for the suckling pig...maybe it's for the best. Desserts: RAW Seadas (but how is it made?) and I won't say anything else. Rock hard chocolate cake. The Crème caramel was (perhaps) passable, even if I don't understand the double handful of unnecessary almonds to garnish everything. Total cost €40 per person. I hadn't been to this place for years but comforted by new positive reviews I wanted to try it again. I would say that sometimes it's better not to backtrack. I close with a classic. “I didn't give zero stars just because there wasn't the option to do so.”
