11/04/2025: The Osteria Fra' Pellizza in Casteggio (PV) offers a culinary experience that deserves attention. The environment is clean and welcoming, and the staff shows remarkable kindness in table service. Particular praise goes to the chef, who explains his dishes with love and passion, conveying the care he dedicates to each creation. I had the pleasure of starting dinner with a Fassona dish, characterized by a balanced and delicious seasoning. Followed by a krokkante artichoke, which I highly recommend to anyone who visits the place. To conclude, I savored lamb chops styled with fingerlings, a true joy for the calm and convivial palate, made even more pleasant by the company of friends and a good glass of wine. The wine list is extensive and will satisfy even the most demanding palates. As regards the cost, I believe that it is fully consistent with the high quality of the products and the service offered. The only aspect that could be improved was the entrance to the restaurant, which was in slight disarray due to an unexpected delivery of cases of wine. However, the owner explained the small inconvenience, demonstrating a willingness to remedy it. I highly recommend this tavern for a convivial evening in the company of friends, full of good food, excellent wine and a relaxed atmosphere.
