Super good food, my family were happy!

A great chance discovery. A sort of canteen, with courteous service and a great atmosphere, and dishes typical of Genoa and Italy. It's like a Genoese bouchon. A colorful place for a small budget.

Lunch on 04/23/2025 The location is strategic, a stone's throw from the old port, in the middle of the alleys of the Genoese center. An informal environment that couldn't be more informal, with the possibility of consuming on site (inside on long tables in cohabitation with other diners, sitting on perches, outside in the small square in front) and of ordering takeaway; open kitchen with pots on display to increase the feeling of "other times". Typical local cuisine, in my opinion well executed: remarkable lasagne with pesto, to which perhaps I would have added a layer to make them even more delicious, abundant and crunchy fried calamari (to be picky a little greasy...), tripe served with dried porcini mushrooms as good as I can't remember for a long time and cuttlefish with peas were our orders. The kitchen staff is courteous and helpful while the service is almost non-existent and the plates are plastic. The bill is all in all economical, even taking into account the spartan environment, in relation to the quality of the cuisine and the generous portions. I liked the place, both in terms of atmosphere and cuisine: rating 9

Suggestive location, trattoria located in a picturesque little square among the alleys. Authentic flavors and carefully cooked food. Far superior to more famous restaurants or trattorias... on paper. Service: casual but professional. Nice and kind. Price quality, probably unbeatable.

The setting of the small square is very beautiful and evocative, the place is simple and the fish dishes are tasty. All topped off with really quick service and attentive waiters. Well done

The pesto lasagna was very good.

Che spettacolo vedere la cucina (questa sì a vista, per eccellenza!), scegliere mentre il cuoco ti fa assaggiare un po' di tutto, con persone di ogni tipo ed estrazione sociale che si godono questo locale veramente spettacolare nella sua essenzialità. 15€ a testa e si pranza con piatti super. Peccato che sia un po' la parte bar a non essere altrettanto spettacolare e a far un po' da tappo... però rimane un'esperienza indimenticabile.

Molto molto genovese. Tappa obbligata per chi vuole mangiare piatti tipici ma anche visitare un luogo verace e non turistico
